Availability
I currently have limited availability for new online clients.
I offer sessions via secure video platform and work with adults across the UK. My practice hours are weekday evenings and limited daytime appointments, which can be discussed during our initial consultation.
As I work both in private practice and within a professional employee relations role, my diary is structured and appointments are agreed in advance. I aim to offer consistency and stability within the therapeutic relationship, and sessions are held weekly at an agreed time wherever possible.
If I am unable to offer a suitable appointment time, I will let you know promptly and, where appropriate, signpost you to alternative support.
Planned periods of leave will always be communicated in advance within sessions so that we can plan appropriately and ensure continuity of care.
If you are interested in working together, please feel free to get in touch to enquire about current availability.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified counsellor offering online therapy to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low mood, anger, bereavement, low self-esteem, racism and discrimination, complex trauma, stress, and relationship or sexual difficulties. Whatever has brought you to therapy, you will be met with warmth, respect and careful listening.
My core approach is person-centred. I believe that when someone feels genuinely heard and accepted, space opens for growth and change. Our work will be collaborative and guided by you. Together we will explore your experiences, emotional patterns and relationships, gently making sense of what feels confusing, painful or stuck.
Alongside this foundation, I integrate trauma-informed practice, attachment awareness, psychoeducation and elements of cognitive and relational approaches where helpful. I adapt therapy to the individual, recognising that each person’s history, culture and identity shape how they experience the world.
I have experience supporting clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and across a wide age range, including work within LGBTQ+ services. I also bring lived experience of cultural identity, boarding school, coming out and a cancer diagnosis and remission. These experiences deepen my empathy, but the focus of therapy remains firmly on you and your story.
In addition to online sessions, I offer walk and talk therapy where appropriate.
My aim is to provide a steady, reflective and compassionate space in which you can develop insight, emotional resilience and a stronger sense of who you are.
Practice description
My practice is grounded in providing a safe, consistent and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences openly. I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, identity struggles, relationship difficulties, cultural conflict and life transitions.
I have experience working within LGBTQ+ services at ELOP in London and supporting clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Alongside my professional training, I bring lived experience of cultural identity, boarding school, coming out and navigating a cancer diagnosis and remission. These experiences inform my empathy and sensitivity, while the focus of our work remains firmly on you.
Therapy with me is collaborative and paced according to your needs. Some clients come with a clear issue they wish to address; others arrive feeling uncertain or overwhelmed. Together, we create space to understand what is happening beneath the surface, identify patterns and gently work towards meaningful change.
I am trained in person-centred therapy and draw on integrative approaches including trauma-informed practice, attachment awareness, elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, existential perspectives, mindfulness-based techniques, somatic awareness and emotion-focused work where appropriate. I tailor my approach to the individual, recognising that no two people experience difficulty in the same way.
At times, simply being heard can bring relief. At other times, therapy may involve reflecting on beliefs, relational dynamics or coping strategies that no longer serve you. My role is not to advise or judge, but to walk alongside you as you develop insight, resilience and a stronger sense of self.
If you are considering therapy, you are welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.
My first session
Our first sessions are an opportunity to begin understanding what has brought you to therapy and what you hope might feel different in your life. We will explore where you are emotionally right now, what feels overwhelming or unresolved, and what may be standing in your way. There is no expectation to have everything clearly articulated; we will take time to gently unpack things together.
Early sessions are paced carefully. You decide what feels safe to share and when. My role is to listen with care and curiosity, ask thoughtful questions, and help you begin to notice patterns, emotional responses and relational dynamics that may be influencing how you feel. Often, simply putting words to experiences that have been held internally for a long time can bring a sense of relief.
We may also begin to clarify what you would like from therapy. For some, this means reducing anxiety or low mood. For others, it may involve processing trauma, understanding relationship patterns, building confidence, or reconnecting with a stronger sense of identity. We will shape our work in a way that feels realistic, manageable and aligned with your goals.
The first few sessions are also about connection. Therapy is most effective when you feel comfortable, respected and understood. This is your space, and it is important that it feels right for you.
