About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Jess and I’m a Bereavement Counsellor.
Everyone will experience bereavement at some point in their lives, yet it can feel like such a lonely experience. It’s common to wonder if what you are feeling is ‘normal,’ how long you’ll feel this way, and whether you’re ’grieving right.’ It’s important to know that everyone grieves differently, there is no correct way of doing it, and most importantly, you are not alone.
Bereavement counselling allows you to share and process these difficult and painful emotions. Perhaps you are experiencing low mood, anxiety and feelings of hopelessness. You may feel confused, lost or stuck in your grief. I offer a calm, confidential and non-judgmental space to help untangle these thoughts and feelings. Together we can explore and reflect on your experience of grief, and find ways for you to move on and find peace.
By making the brave decision to seek counselling, you are giving yourself the gift of hope and allowing yourself to choose a new way forward.
