About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Amber. I am an integrative therapist and registered member of the BACP (MBACP). I offer a warm, confidential space to explore life’s challenges and difficulties without judgement and with empathy, where you can share your thoughts, feeling and whatever you're experiencing.

You might be here because a relationship has left you feeling unsettled or unsure of yourself, perhaps recovering from a toxic relationship or trying to understand relationship dynamics that keep showing up. Or you might be carrying the effects of trauma - events from your past that still feel complex and difficult to understand. Or you might be feeling anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed by life.

Choosing who to share your life story with and to support you on your journey can be difficult, and overwhelming. That's why I offer a free 15-minute phone or video call so we can chat to see if we feel like a good fit together.

I practice from an integrative approach with roots in person centred approach, which places warmth, empathy, and non-judgement at the heart of how I work. I also believe a lot of change happens through the relationship itself: feeling truly met and safe enough to be yourself. I draw on transactional analysis to help make sense of patterns that feel automatic or hard to shift, alongside trauma-informed, nervous-system-aware approaches to understand how trauma and stress can live in the body. My integrative approach means I can adapt to meet your needs and tailor blend therapy to your unique situation, bringing in different methods and techniques. After all, no two people are the same!

Practice description

It is my ambition to empower and encourage positive change throughout the therapeutic process while providing my clients with autonomy and control of their own therapy. I offer a safe environment for you to bring whatever you wish to each session, together I aim to build a therapeutic relationship built on trust, non-judgement and congruence that enables you to explore, challenge and understand your thoughts and feelings.

If this feels like the kind of space you're looking for, I'd love to hear from you - feel free to get in touch to ask any questions , or to arrange a free 15-minute consultation.
