About me and my therapy practice
Starting therapy can feel daunting—but you don’t have to face things alone. I'm a BACP-registered counsellor offering gentle, grounded support for adults who are feeling low, overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure where to turn.
I work with clients both in-person from my practice just outside Canterbury, and online across the UK. I also offer walk-and-talk therapy for those who find it easier to open up while moving outdoors.
I believe therapy should feel human, not clinical. My style is warm, compassionate and down-to-earth. I’ll meet you where you are—whether you're navigating anxiety, low mood, relationship challenges, burnout, or feeling “not quite yourself.”
I work integratively, which means I draw on a range of counselling theories to adapt our sessions to your individual needs. I also bring lived experience of neurodiversity and understand how hard it can be to feel understood in a world that often expects us to “hold it all together.”
Sessions are 50 minutes long and available weekly or fortnightly, depending on what feels right for you. You can choose to book the same time each week or use my flexible online booking system to fit around your schedule.
If you’ve been wondering whether therapy might help, I offer a free, friendly phone call with no pressure to commit. This gives you a chance to ask questions, hear how I work, and see if it feels like a good fit.
Practice description
My practice is based just outside Canterbury, where I offer in-person counselling in a quiet, private space. I also work with clients across the UK via online therapy, and offer walk-and-talk sessions locally for those who find it easier to open up while moving in nature.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, overthinking, people-pleasing, or simply feeling stuck, I offer a non-judgemental space to slow down, make sense of things, and reconnect with yourself.
I work integratively, which means I tailor my approach to suit your needs rather than expecting you to fit into a one-size-fits-all method. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity and authenticity. I’ll never ask you to share more than you're ready to. We move at your pace.
Clients often come to me feeling exhausted by keeping everything together, unsure how to express what’s really going on underneath. I help create space for those hidden parts of you—without pressure or performance.
You can expect sessions that feel gentle but real. I’ll be beside you, not above you. We’ll work together to explore what’s been going on and what might need attention, care, or change.
I also work with clients who are neurodivergent or suspect they might be, and understand how masking or over-adapting can affect mental health.
Sessions last 50 minutes and can be booked weekly or fortnightly. I offer flexible scheduling and straightforward payment options to keep things simple.
My first session
I know reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step, especially if it’s your first time—or if past experiences haven’t felt supportive. That’s why I offer a free, friendly 15-minute phone call so you can get a feel for how I work, ask any questions, and decide if you'd like to book a first session—no pressure, no obligation.
In our first full session, I’ll spend time getting to know what’s brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to explore or feel differently about. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance or have all the words. We can go at your pace.
I don’t use formal assessments or rigid forms in the first session, but I may gently ask about relevant history or support needs so I can better understand how to tailor our work together.
I offer a consistent rate of £39 per 50-minute session, but if affordability is a barrier, I offer some concession spaces which we can discuss openly.
Some people like to meet weekly; others find fortnightly sessions more manageable. We can talk about what would work best for you. I offer flexible scheduling through my secure online booking system, or we can agree a regular slot.
Whether we work together short-term or long-term, the first session is all about creating safety, connection, and giving you space to feel seen and heard.
