About me and my therapy practice

Thank you for visitig my profile.

About Me

I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), offering compassionate and personalised counselling in Bromley, Chislehurst, and across South East London. I work with adults, young people, and children, providing a safe, supportive, and confidential space to explore life’s challenges.

If you are unsure whether counselling is right for you or your child, I offer a free 15 minute initial exploration call. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about how I work, and explore what you would like support with.

My Work.

My work is informed by Person Centred counselling, which focuses on creating a safe, non judgemental relationship where you feel accepted and free to express yourself, and Psychodynamic therapy, which gently explores how past experiences and relationships may be influencing how you feel or cope in the present.

By integrating these approaches, counselling can support both immediate concerns and deeper understanding, helping adults and young people develop insight, emotional resilience, and lasting change.

Practice description

Life can feel overwhelming at times, whether you are experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, or major life transitions. I am a qualified adult counsellor offering counselling in Bromley, Chislehurst, and across South East London, with online counselling available across the UK.

I provide a calm, confidential, and non‑judgemental space where you can talk openly and explore what is happening for you. Counselling offers the opportunity to reflect, gain insight, and develop healthier ways of coping.

An Integrative Approach to Adult Counselling

As an integrative counsellor, I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than following a fixed approach. I draw on Person‑Centred counselling, focusing on empathy, respect, and working at your pace, alongside Psychodynamic approaches that explore how past experiences may be influencing present difficulties.

This integrative approach supports both immediate concerns and deeper understanding, helping promote long‑term emotional wellbeing and personal growth.

Adult Counselling Can Support:

• Anxiety, stress, and burnout

• Depression or low mood

• Bereavement and loss

• Relationship or family issues

• Work‑related pressures

• Confidence and self‑esteem

• Life changes and personal development

You are welcome to book a free 15‑minute consultation to explore whether counselling feels right for you.

My first session

What to Expect in a First Counselling Session

A first counselling session is an opportunity for us to meet, begin to build a working relationship, and explore what has brought you to counselling. There is no expectation to share everything straight away — we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

The session usually begins with some time to help you settle into the space. We may talk briefly about what you’re hoping for from counselling, what has been difficult recently, or what support you feel you need. This is a chance for me to understand you, and for you to get a sense of how I work.

I will explain how counselling works, including how sessions are structured, my therapeutic approach, and what you can expect from me as a counsellor. You are welcome to ask any questions at any point, including practical questions about sessions or the counselling process.

An important part of the first session is agreeing how we will work together safely and professionally. We will talk about confidentiality, meaning that what you share remains private, as well as the specific circumstances where I may need to share information to support safety — for example, if there is a serious risk of harm. This is explained clearly so that you know where the boundaries are from the outset.

We will also agree practical aspects of our work together, such as session length, boundaries, and what to do if sessions bring up strong or difficult feelings. You are encouraged to share what helps you feel safe and supported in the counselling space.

By the end of the first session, the aim is that you feel listened to, informed, and clear about what counselling with me might look like going forward. There is no right or wrong way to use counselling — it is a space for you, and we will shape the work together.
