About me and my therapy practice

TL;DR:

  • Thoughtful, down-to-earth therapy
  • Neurodivergent-affirming (and neurotypical-friendly)
  • We go at your pace
  •  You don’t need to know where to start

Hello, I’m Chloe — a qualified counsellor and trainee psychotherapist. If life feels a bit overwhelming, messy, or harder than it looks from the outside, you’re not alone. Are you an overthinker? Deep feeler? Wondering if it’s just you that feels this way?

Therapy can be a place to slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and take a breath — without judgement or pressure to have everything figured out.

I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly and honestly, at your own pace. My approach is integrative, drawing mainly from person-centred and psychodynamic therapy. In practice, this means our work is shaped around you — your experiences, your relationships, and the patterns you may be noticing in your life. Sometimes we’ll gently explore the past; other times we’ll focus on what’s happening right now. There’s no “right” way to do therapy here.

I have particular experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, birth trauma, and neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism. I’m especially mindful that therapy can feel very different depending on how your mind works. Whether you’re neurodivergent, neurotypical, or still figuring that out, I aim to work flexibly — adapting sessions to suit your communication style, pace, and needs (no clipboard stereotypes or awkward silences unless they’re helpful).

Reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially if you’re used to coping on your own or if this is your first experience of therapy. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you develop greater clarity, self-understanding, and resilience — with curiosity, compassion, and the occasional moment of lightness when it feels right.

If you’re wondering whether we might be a good fit, you’re very welcome to get in touch. I’d be happy to hear from you.

Practice description

I'm currently offering online sessions, with a view to offer face-to-face in the near future.

My approach is warm and nurturing, anchored in psychodynamic theory but giving you the space to bring what you need to address to each session. The first few sessions would be about getting to know you and where you feel you're struggling and building the alliance that I feel is essential to successful therapy and lasting change. I offer a gentle approach and I will never push a tender spot. You are always the focus and we go at your pace. If you need some gentle challenging, I believe in a fully collaborative process.

I am particularly passionate/knowledgable about late-diagnosis of neurodiversity, chronic depression, bereavement, miscarriage and baby loss and how attachment style informs grief, birth trauma, depression and anxiety.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute call to chat about what you need and how we will work together, after this I send an intake form and contract over to you to have a look at a few days before the session.

At the start of the first session itself, I will fill in a GAD7 and CORE-10, this is how I will monitor progress and will do these questionnaires with you every 4 weeks, if that is comfortable for you. If it would help you to see your progress mapped out, and also get a routine established, we can do these as often as you'd like.
