About me and my therapy practice

You might look like you’re coping on the outside - capable, responsible, high-functioning but inside feel anxious, overwhelmed, or quietly not good enough.

Perhaps you overthink, struggle with self-criticism, feel stuck in patterns in relationships, or carry a sense of pressure that never quite lifts. You may appear confident professionally but feel uncertain or disconnected underneath.

I work with adults who are experiencing:

  • Anxiety and persistent worry
  • Depression
  • Low self-esteem and self-criticism
  • Feeling “not good enough”
  • Burnout and overwhelm
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Life transitions
  • Perfectionism
  • Stress linked to work or family roles

Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you. It’s about understanding you and helping you relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions so they don’t run your life. My style is calm, thoughtful and non-judgemental. Sessions are a space where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or have everything figured out.

My approach is warm, collaborative and grounded. I draw primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), alongside relational approaches. This means we won’t just analyse your thoughts, we’ll gently explore your patterns, build psychological flexibility, and help you move towards a life guided by your values rather than fear or self-doubt.

I bring a specialist focus on maternal mental health, supporting people through the emotional challenges associated with pregnancy, postpartum adjustment (including birth trauma or loss), and the psychological impacts of changing identity during and after child-bearing years. This includes work with anxiety linked to pregnancy, self-esteem and identity shifts after having a baby, emotional regulation challenges, and the unique pressures many experience around parenting roles.

Practice description

My goal as a therapist is to allow my clients to explore what matters most to them and uncover what might be getting in the way of living fully. I’m an active and responsive therapist, combining empathy with gentle challenge, so you feel both open and encouraged to make positive changes at your own pace.

I have a specialist interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you build resilience, connect with your values, and move toward a more meaningful life. Whether you’re navigating a major life change, feeling stuck, or simply wondering how to move forward, my empathic and engaging style helps you feel more grounded and clear about your path ahead.

Maternal Mental Health Expertise

In addition to general adult mental health, I specialise in supporting maternal mental health challenges, including:

  • Anxiety related to pregnancy and early parenthood
  • Postnatal emotional adjustment and identity changes
  • Birth trauma and recovery (emotional and psychological)
  • Stress and overwhelm linked to parenting expectations
  • Low mood or self-confidence shifts after having a baby

This work draws on both clinical experience and an understanding of the unique social, biological and emotional dimensions of parent-related transitions. Through empathy, practical skills and values-aligned clarity, I help you find steadiness through times that can feel both rewarding and overwhelming.

My professional qualifications include;

  • MBACP (Member of the British Association of Certified Psychotherapists)
  • PGDip in Psychotherapy and Counselling
  • Foundation Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling, Regent’s University London
  • BA (Hons) Sociology
  • Certificate in Counselling Skills
  • Certificate in Perinatal Mental Illness, Risk, Care and Treatment
  • COSRT (College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists), Level 5

My first session

Please get in touch to arrange a free consultation over the phone and to hear about my up to date availability.

Our therapy sessions would be held weekly at the same time and day each week to retain consistency which is necessary to allow for a safe and secure therapeutic relationship. I am currently offering virtual sessions via video call which I have had extensive experience in alongside face to face work, however the online approach has been proven to be equally effective therapeutically and offers you the ability to have therapy in a safe space which you choose.

I offer concessionary rates for low income and student therapists in training.
