About me and my therapy practice
Taking the first step into counselling can be frightening, but it may be the most rewarding step you take today. My job is to help you tap into your inner strengths, facilitating your journey towards greater self-awareness and personal development.
As an integrative counsellor, I have experience in a wide range of areas such as trauma, grief, abuse, anxiety and depression. I will facilitate a space where you are free to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, whilst taking each step with you.
I will draw upon various therapeutic approaches during our sessions, allowing your therapy be unique and tailored to you and your individual needs. As our work continues we will look at developing your own coping skills and strategies to draw upon, while working towards your goals and seeing your life from a fresh perspective.
Practice description
Online and telephone counselling allows you to access therapy at a time and place that is convenient for you in your daily life. This means that not only can you attend your sessions with no need to travel, but that therapy is accessible regardless of your current circumstances.
Remote therapy also provides support to anyone who may wish to have therapy but face to face doesn’t suit your requirements. Telephone sessions are also an option for those who would still like to access support, but perhaps would just like talk rather than we see each other.
My first session
Our initial free 30 minute consultation is a time where you can ask any questions you may have for myself, and allows us to see if we think we would be a good fit in working together.
The consultation can take place at a convenient time for you via either telephone or video call.
During this time we can explore what has brought you to therapy and how this may help. We will discuss how we may work together towards your goals and support you moving forward.
There may also be times where I feel that you could benefit from support from another avenue, which I could then support you with referrals or signposting you in the right direction.
There is no obligation to pursue counselling sessions with myself after the consultation, allowing you to take control and move forward if, and when, it feels right for you.
What I can help with
Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Addictions, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Menopause, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, Obsessions, OCD, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sensory impairment, Service veterans, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Substance Dependency, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
