About me and my therapy practice

As a man, you might be grappling with confusion, frustration, or exhaustion around modern expectations of masculinity—feeling caught between traditional roles and pressures to be more emotionally open, while wondering if anyone truly gets how hard you try to show up as a good partner, father, friend, or colleague. Perhaps anger, stress, or a sense of isolation has built up over time, dimming the spark and confidence you once had, leaving you yearning for inner calm, self-assurance, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Or, as a woman, you may be seeking deeper insight into the behaviours and inner world of the important men in your life.

I offer in-person and online therapy for adults navigating issues related to masculinity, emotional regulation, identity, relationships, and personal growth. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and evidence-informed practice, drawing from male psychology research and thousands of hours working specifically with men's issues.

I bring a politically moderate perspective to the work: I aim to hold space for diverse viewpoints without imposing ideology, recognising that polarisation in society and online can amplify feelings of alienation or defensiveness for many men. My goal is to help you explore your experiences openly and without judgment, focusing on what serves your well-being and relationships rather than any political agenda.

If you're ready to reduce stress, rebuild confidence, process resentment or shame, or simply feel more at ease in your own skin, I'd be glad to support you on that journey.

Practice description

In my practice, I offer relational, trauma-informed counselling grounded in Transactional Analysis (TA). I provide a confidential, empathic space where you can safely explore grief, trauma, anxiety, and life's challenges. Together we'll foster self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful change through psychoeducation, reflection, and attuned support, helping you navigate difficulties and enhance emotional wellbeing.

My first session

In our first session, I conduct an informal, conversational assessment to explore your needs, background, expectations, and therapy goals. With your permission, I may use a brief questionnaire (CORE-10) to better understand your current challenges and track your progress. We'll collaboratively decide if we're a good fit and establish how best to support you, ensuring clarity and mutual understanding from the start.
