About me and my therapy practice

I'm a dedicated and compassionate counsellor who is committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your emotions, thoughts, and experiences. My approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, promoting a space for healing and personal growth.

I offer individual counselling sessions for adults (18+). Sessions are 50 minutes long and held either face to face in Old Town, Swindon or online. The cost of a counselling session is £50.

Sessions can be time limited (6 - 24 sessions) or open ended depending on your needs and personal goals from therapy.

The contact and booking menu of my website tells you more about the services I offer and how to book a no obligation consultation.

Practice description

I am trained as an Integrative counsellor, drawing on a range of psychological disciplines and blending these to suit the unique needs of each person I work with. Whatever your struggle, I take a whole-person approach. This means our work is not solely focused on symptoms, but on understanding you within the wider context of your life, relationships, and experiences.

I aim to offer a supportive, collaborative space where you feel heard, respected, and able to explore difficult thoughts and feelings at your own pace. By working together in this way, there is opportunity not only for relief from distress, but for deeper self-understanding, change, and personal growth.

I am trauma-trained and work using Judith Herman’s three-stage model of trauma recovery. This means we begin by prioritising safety and stabilisation, helping you to feel grounded and supported before moving into deeper exploration. I work gently and at a pace that feels right for you, always guided by your needs, boundaries, and readiness. My aim is to help you build a sense of safety, resilience, and empowerment within the therapeutic relationship and beyond.

My first session

In our initial consultation, we’ll take time to explore the challenges you’re facing and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy. This session is a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about the counselling process. We’ll also complete some brief assessment paperwork together, which helps me understand how best to support you. At the end of our meeting, I’ll provide you with a copy of my counselling agreement so you can take some time to consider whether you’d like to continue with further sessions.
