Availability
I am reasonably flexible with my availability on Teams. Usual office hours would apply for face to face therapy but will do my best to accommodate people as I can.
About me and my therapy practice
Every client arrives with a unique story, and my role is to meet you exactly where you are. As an integrative therapist, I do not believe in one-size-fits-all approaches; instead, I blend humanistic warmth with psychodynamic depth to help you understand not just what you are experiencing, but where it comes from.
In our work together, we explore both the present moment and the deeper origins of your challenges; whether that is anxiety, relationship patterns, self-esteem issues, emotional overwhelm, or simply a sense of being stuck. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that lasting change emerges when we feel seen, supported, and safe enough to explore our inner world.
No two clients are the same, so no two sessions are either. We will move at your pace, following what feels most meaningful for you, while I gently help you make connections, gain clarity, and build emotional resilience. My aim is to help you develop a more authentic relationship with yourself and create the life you want to live.
Practice description
Coltsfoot Counselling Practice is the home of my therapeutic work — a warm, grounded space inspired by the coltsfoot plant, often known for symbolising resilience, healing, and early renewal. The practice offers a calm, confidential environment where you can speak freely, feel supported, and explore what’s going on beneath the surface. Whether you're seeking online sessions, in-person work, or a blended approach, Coltsfoot Counselling Practice is designed to meet you with care, compassion and professional integrity. My first session
Before beginning therapy, I offer a free 30-minute telephone or Microsoft Teams assessment. This initial conversation gives you space to talk about what brings you to therapy, what you are hoping to explore, and what you feel you might need. It is also an opportunity for us both to get a sense of whether we are the right fit for one another. While being ready for change is an important first step, I believe that effective therapy also depends on finding a client–counsellor partnership that feels safe, comfortable and aligned. During this assessment, we can discuss any questions you have, as well as my practice boundaries and limitations, so you can make an informed and confident choice about how you would like to proceed.
