About me and my therapy practice
I’m a qualified counsellor offering a steady, grounded space where you don’t have to hold everything together on your own. A place to slow down, speak freely, and be met with understanding and compassion, free from judgement or expectation.
Sessions are shaped around your pace and may include talking things through, exploring emotions, noticing patterns, and finding new ways of responding in everyday life. At times, this may include gently exploring patterns that keep things stuck or painful.
I work in a person-centred and trauma-informed way with adults (18+) experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, loss, low self-esteem, and times of uncertainty or change. But my specialisms include:
Men’s mental health
Veterans
Sexual violence and abuse
Gender, sexuality and relationship diversity
Chronic and/or life-changing illness
Wellbeing in the arts
Work with young people
Practice description
My approach is grounded in humanistic and existential therapy, which means the focus is on you - your experience, the choices you’re living with, and what matters most in your life. Together, we explore how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and how your values shape your everyday decisions. From this, we work towards helping you live with more authenticity and alignment.
Alongside my indoor work, I offer Wild Therapy, conducting sessions outdoors where nature becomes part of the process, offering space, grounding, and perspective. It also informs my indoor work, supporting a more honest exploration, paying attention to the edges of experience, stepping back from familiar patterns, and gently noticing what may have been avoided or left unspoken.
Whatever the setting, indoor or outdoors, what matters most is the relationship we build together and creating a space where you can be yourself. You don’t need the right words or a clear starting point just a willingness to turn up as you are. If you choose to work with me, we’ll go at your pace, exploring what’s happening for you in a way that feels manageable, real, and workable in everyday life.
