About me and my therapy practice

Starting therapy can feel disorienting when there is so much language around mental health without much understanding on where to begin.

Perhaps you have been feeling anxious, low, disconnected, or unsure how to make sense of what you are experiencing. You may also simply feel curious about yourself or your relationships, and want to understand yourself with more depth. In these instances, therapy can be a good option to develop a space to pause, reflect, and begin understanding what is going on beneath the surface.

If this resonates with you, my role is to offer a steady and thoughtful therapeutic space where this kind of exploration can take place.

I am a qualified psychodynamic therapist with experience working in both community settings and private practice, including within NHS services and several mental health charities.

My approach is relational and psychodynamic, with the therapeutic relationship at the centre of the work. I work with a wide range of difficulties and life experiences, focusing on understanding you as a whole person rather than on a set of labels or diagnoses. This creates space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and relationships at your own pace, and to start to move through life with greater clarity and an emerging sense of ease.

Next steps:

I begin with a brief phone call to see whether working together feels right. If we decide to continue, an initial consultation allows us to explore what brings you to therapy and discuss the practicalities of working together. Please note I am able to offer both short term and long term work.

Sessions are 50 minutes, weekly and at a set time. My fee is £75 per session, invoiced monthly.
