About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, compassionate and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace. I believe that being truly heard and understood can be a powerful part of the healing process, and I work alongside you to help you gain insight, build self-awareness and explore the changes you would like to make.
As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is not to judge, advise or tell you what to do, but to provide a safe and supportive relationship where you can be yourself and explore what feels important to you.
Every person’s journey is unique, and I tailor our sessions around your individual needs and experiences. My aim is to create a space where you feel valued, respected and accepted - allowing you the time and freedom to reflect, grow and move towards greater wellbeing.
Practice description
Olive Branch Psychotherapy was created to offer a calm, welcoming space where people can pause, reflect and reconnect with themselves.
The olive branch has long been a symbol of peace, hope and new beginnings - values that are at the heart of my practice. I believe that everyone deserves a space where they can feel heard, understood and supported through life’s challenges.
At Olive Branch, I provide psychotherapy in a safe and confidential environment, helping individuals explore their experiences, develop greater self-understanding and work towards positive change.
My practice is built on compassion, authenticity and the belief that meaningful growth can happen when we feel accepted for who we truly are.
My first session
Taking the first step into counselling can feel daunting, so I aim to make the process as comfortable and straightforward as possible.
I offer an initial session at a reduced rate of £30 (half of my usual session fee). This provides an opportunity for us to meet, discuss what has brought you to counselling, and explore what support you are looking for.
During this first session, we will talk about your needs, what you would like to work towards, and whether counselling with me feels like the right fit for you. We will also discuss how I work, answer any questions you may have, and go through the counselling agreement, including confidentiality, boundaries and expectations (known as our therapeutic contract).
The relationship between counsellor and client is an important part of the counselling process, so it is essential that you feel comfortable, safe and able to be yourself. The first session gives us the space to begin building that foundation together.
