About me and my therapy practice
Life can be complex, and at times, very difficult. We don’t always understand why we feel or react the way we do. Sometimes, our usual ways of coping no longer work, and facing things alone can feel overwhelming. When this happens, it can help to talk to someone to get emotional support and begin to understand ourselves and our situation more clearly. This is where therapy can help.
I’m Cassie, a qualified BACP-registered counsellor. I love the work I do and believe in the meaningful, lasting change that talking therapy can bring. My style is warm, calm, and authentic. I’ll listen carefully to truly understand your experience, gently asking questions and offering insights to help you make sense of your thoughts and feelings. I'm here to support you in finding your own way, in your own time.
A non-judgmental approach is central to how I work, where you can feel safe to explore your emotions, speak openly, and talk about the things that are making life feel difficult. I work in a person-centred way, which means I respect your individual experience and trust that you can decide what’s best for you, with me there to help along the way.
Together, at a pace that feels right for you, we can find ways to manage life’s challenges, gain new perspective, and reflect on where you want your life to go.
Practice description
I'm a fully qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I offer both long-term and short-term therapy over the phone and online.
I work with people from all walks of life, both in private practice and through a local charity, supporting those facing a wide range of challenges.
Whatever you’re struggling with, whether it’s anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, low self-confidence, or a general feeling that something’s not right, I'm here to help you make sense of what you're going through.
My first session
Choosing a counsellor you feel comfortable with is incredibly important, as the relationship itself plays a bigger role in the success of therapy than any particular technique or approach.
Please feel free to contact me if you'd like to arrange a convenient time for a free 15-minute telephone call. It's a chance for us to see whether we might be a good fit, and for you to ask any questions you may have.
If you decide to give counselling a try, our first 50-minute session will build on that initial conversation. I’ll explain how counselling works, go through our counselling agreement, and make sure you feel comfortable moving forward.
