About me and my therapy practice
I’m Zoe a BACP-registered integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. I offer online and telephone sessions from my home therapy room, and in-person sessions from practice rooms in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Sandbach, Cheshire.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on several counselling approaches which are tailored to meet your needs. This means we’ll work collaboratively to find the best approaches to support your objectives over the time we work together. Some of the approaches I draw on include person-centred, psychodynamic, narrative, attachment and CBT.
Practice description
Life can be overwhelming. You may have been keeping yourself afloat, and then something happens which can result in feeling like your losing control and yourself in the process.
It may be the first time you’ve sought help, or you may have previously accessed counselling. Either way, my aim is to create a calm, safe and confidential space for you to explore what might be coming up for you and to better understand yourself.
I bring years of working within public and voluntary sectors, before practising in the NHS staff counselling service.
In addition to supporting clients with anxiety, depression, stress, and burnout, I specialise in:
- Work related stress
- Relationship issues
- Grief/loss
- Carer burden
I am an ADHD/Neurodiverse informed practitioner, and would welcome working with you whether you are formally diagnosed or exploring options.
I hold an MSc in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and through my research have developed a specialist interest in support for carers, spouses and partners of people with Type 1 diabetes and other health conditions.
I follow the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework, undertake regular supervision and training. I am fully insured.
