About me and my therapy practice

I work with adults navigating demanding professional and personal lives, including those working in high-pressure industries and those moving through the profound transitions of parenthood.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years in the creative industries - fast-moving, competitive environments where insecurity, long hours, and constant pressure can quietly take their toll. I understand what it can feel like to hold yourself together outwardly while internally struggling with anxiety, burnout, self-criticism, uncertainty, or a growing sense of disconnection from yourself. Many of the people I work with are used to coping alone, performing under pressure, or feeling they should be managing better than they are.

I also offer specialist psychotherapy for parents and parents-to-be, including those trying to conceive, navigating pregnancy, adjusting to early parenthood, or returning to work while carrying the emotional and practical demands of family life. Becoming a parent can reshape your identity, relationships, ambitions, and sense of self in unexpected ways. People often arrive in therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stretched, guilty, lonely, or unsure why something that matters so deeply can also feel so complicated.

Alongside my private practice, I have trained and worked across a range of NHS, higher education, and community mental health settings. This includes working within the Maudsley Hospital, supporting adults experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, addiction, and self-harm, as well as working in multidisciplinary teams at King’s College Hospital and the Ladywell Unit at Lewisham Hospital. I have also provided therapeutic support to students at UCL, with a focus on neurodivergence and student mental health, and worked with the Albany Trust supporting LGBTIQA+ relationships and sexual wellbeing. I trained as a psychodynamic psychotherapist at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust and Birkbeck College, University of London.

Practice description

My approach is warm, thoughtful, and grounded in psychodynamic principles. Together, we explore both what is happening in your life now and the deeper patterns and experiences that may shape how you feel, relate, work, care for others, and respond to pressure. Therapy can offer not only relief, but a clearer understanding of yourself and greater freedom in how you live.

The therapeutic relationship is an important part of the work. Paying attention to what emerges between us can help bring longstanding patterns into clearer focus and create the possibility for meaningful change. There is no fixed agenda or expectation to present yourself in any particular way.

My first session

We would usually begin with a free introductory call, giving us a chance to discuss what has brought you to therapy and what you hope for from the process. If it feels appropriate to continue, we can arrange an initial consultation to think together about the kind of support that may suit you best - whether that’s longer-term psychotherapy, shorter-term counselling, or a one-time session.
