About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for taking the time to view my page, it can be hard to find a counsellor that feels right for you. It is important that the connection between you and the counsellor fits, to help build the trust within the relationship, where you feel safe.
Holding that safe place to help my clients explore; Anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationships, trauma.
I am a trauma informed counsellor specalising in supporting survivors of sexual abuse and complex trauma. My work is grounded in creating a safe, compassionate and non-judgmental space, where you can begin to explore your experiences at your own pace.
I understand that the impact of trauma can show up in many ways; whether this is anxiety, feeling disconnected from yourself, difficulties within relationships, or a persistent sense of being on edge. You do not need to have the 'The right words' or a clear starting point. We begin where ever you are.
Practice description
My approach is collaborative and client-led, meaning you remain in control of the process at all times. I work gently, with a strong focus on emotional safety, stabilisation, and building the trust before exploring deeper experiences together. I integrate trauma-informed principles throughout my work, including choice, empowerment, and respect for your boundaries.
Together we can work towards helping you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and more able to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
My first session
The first session would be free, this would be for 30 minutes. Within this session I will ask you a few questions to help to get to know each other, and the reasons why you are looking for therapy. The main reason for this session is for you to decide if I am the right therapist for you. This can be done via the phone or through Teams online.Types of therapy
