About me and my therapy practice

I’m a warm, down-to-earth counsellor offering online counselling for adults in Bristol and across the UK.

Many of the people I work with are used to appearing as though they’re coping on the outside while quietly struggling underneath. You might find yourself constantly overthinking, emotionally exhausted, stuck in cycles of anxiety or self-doubt, or feeling overwhelmed by the pressure of everyday life while still trying to keep everything going.

I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, bereavement, loneliness, emotional overwhelm, trauma, low self-esteem, neurodivergent challenges including ADHD and autism, and LGBTQ+ related issues.

A lot of my clients come to therapy feeling drained from years of masking how they really feel, putting pressure on themselves to cope, or feeling like they have to carry everything alone. Others feel disconnected from themselves, lost in stress, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to break out of.

I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for support, especially if you’re used to managing everything on your own. Therapy with me isn’t about judgement, pressure, or having all the answers. It’s about having a calm, supportive space where you can speak openly, feel genuinely heard, and begin to make sense of what’s going on at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Alongside private practice, I also work as a specialist mentor for neurodivergent students at the University of Warwick, supporting students to better understand their needs, manage overwhelm, build confidence, and navigate the pressures of academic and daily life.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and tailored to you as an individual. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, grief, identity issues, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling emotionally exhausted, my aim is to help you feel less alone, more understood, and better able to cope with whatever life is bringing your way.

Practice description

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor with a Master’s degree (MA) in Clinical Counselling from the University of Chester (Merit), alongside a First-Class Honours degree in Psychology from Manchester Metropolitan University.

While my core training is in person-centred therapy, I also integrate elements of CBT-informed and solution-focused approaches where helpful, adapting therapy to best support your individual needs and goals.

As a creative practitioner, I also offer the option of using art within sessions, providing an alternative way to explore emotions and experiences when words may feel difficult to find. Whether we work through conversation, creativity, or more structured techniques, sessions are tailored around what feels most helpful and supportive for you.

My first session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to gently get to know one another and begin exploring what has brought you to counselling. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable, and there is never any pressure to open up before you feel ready.

We’ll talk about what’s been going on for you, the support you’re looking for, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Sessions will always move at a pace that feels safe, manageable, and comfortable for you.

About me and my therapy practice

I’m a down-to-earth, working-class counsellor who brings both personal insight and professional training to the heart of my work. I know how heavy life can feel sometimes, when emotions get tangled, motivation disappears, or everything just feels too much.

I specialise in supporting people through anxiety, depression, bereavement, loneliness, social isolation, neurodivergent experiences (including ADHD and autism), trauma, emotional overwhelm, and LGBTQ+ issues. These are more than just areas of training for me, they’re topics I care deeply about, and I offer a space where you can feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported.

Alongside private practice, I also work as a specialist mentor for neurodivergent students at the University of Warwick, supporting students to better understand their needs, manage overwhelm, and navigate the pressures of academic and everyday life.

Therapy with me isn’t about ticking boxes or following a strict method. It’s about working together in a way that feels right for you, at your pace, in your own time. Whether you're ready to talk, unsure where to start, or just need someone to sit alongside you, I’m here.

It’s okay if everything feels a bit chaotic or unclear right now. Taking the first step is often the hardest part, and from there, we’ll gently begin to unpack things, build trust, and figure things out together.

This isn’t just about surviving the tough times, it’s about finding your footing, reconnecting with who you are, and moving toward the life you want.
