Availability

I currently have availability for new clients.

I offer sessions Monday to Friday, with some evening appointments available. Sessions are held online, which allows you to access support from the comfort of your own space.

If I am away or fully booked, I will update this section. Please feel free to email me to check availability or to arrange an initial conversation.

I aim to respond to enquiries within 24–48 hours (Monday–Friday).

If you are contacting me during a period of annual leave, I will include return dates on my voicemail or email auto-reply so you know when to expect a response.

About me and my therapy practice

I’m Aneta, a fully qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I also hold a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which can be especially helpful for anxiety, emotional regulation, and persistent patterns of worry.

My focus is always on you and what you are experiencing right now. My style is warm, thoughtful and collaborative. Therapy with me is not about fixing you. It is about helping you understand yourself better and feel more confident, calm and grounded in your life.

My  work is tailored to you, some sessions may be reflective and exploratory, helping you understand where patterns began. At other times, we may use practical CBT tools to help you manage anxiety, calm emotional reactions, and respond differently in relationships.

I have experience supporting young people and adults through stress, trauma, loss, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Alongside my private practice, I work as a Lead Programme Counsellor for a local authority.

Practice description

Starting therapy can feel daunting. You may not know exactly what to say or where to begin. That’s completely okay.

In our sessions, you can expect a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly at your own pace. I will listen carefully and help you make sense of what you are experiencing.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and capable, yet find themselves stuck in patterns of:

anxiety and constant overthinking

relationship worries or reassurance-seeking

emotional reactivity or anger

self-criticism and feeling not “good enough”

Together, we gently explore where these patterns come from and how they may have developed as ways of coping. Understanding this often reduces shame and self-blame.

Alongside deeper exploration, I offer practical tools to help you:

step back from unhelpful thought cycles

regulate strong emotions

respond differently in difficult moments

build healthier boundaries and self-trust

Having lived abroad for over 20 years, I also understand the emotional impact of relocation, cultural adjustment, and the feeling of being caught between identities.

Therapy with me is a space where you do not have to hold everything together. We work at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of your needs.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and see whether we feel comfortable working together.

There is no pressure to commit beyond this session.

We will talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you would like support with, and any goals you may have. I may ask some gentle questions about your background to help me understand the wider picture, but you only share what feels comfortable.

I will also explain how I work, discuss confidentiality, and answer any questions you might have.

Some clients come with a clear issue; others just know they are not feeling like themselves. Both are welcome.

The first session is charged at the standard rate unless otherwise agreed.

If, after meeting, you feel I am not the right fit, I will support you in thinking about what you might need next.

Taking the first step can feel difficult, but you do not have to have everything figured out. We can take it one step at a time.
