About me and my therapy practice
There can be times in life when the load feels a bit too heavy, and we need support. It can take courage to reach out for counselling and ask for help.
I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings and share your concerns, without judgement. As a Humanistic Counsellor, my approach is client lead, respecting and accepting every unique client for who they are.
I work to explore and support your self-awareness, bringing the unconscious into view. This could be around your patterns of relating, gaining greater insights into your own difficulties. I aim to help you to find acceptance, as well as find your way forward.
Practice description
I have a professional background in Early Child Development, working as an Early Years Teacher in the community. This role required me to work collaboratively with families, in a supportive role, caring for children with complex needs. As a Counsellor I work with honesty, sensitivity and empathy, and I believe it is the relationship which allows for healing to happen. In my Counselling role I have worked with a range of client issues including suicide ideation, self-harm, sexual abuse, shame, guilt, loss, bereavement, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, low self-esteem, mental health problems, family issues, neurodiversity and transitions in life.
