About me and my therapy practice

The joy of my work is meeting people from many walks of life, each with their own unique story.

My counselling is influenced by the Psychosynthesis model, an Integrative and Transpersonal approach, which invites us to explore ourselves as whole beings whether that means connection with something beyond ourselves or connections and relationships with those around us. It teaches us to find a way to explore different parts of ourselves with gentleness and compassion, finding grace for the parts of ourselves we find difficult and joy in discovering who we are. Many of us struggle to make sense of ourselves or to find belonging. Psychosynthesis can help us to accept ourselves as we are and develop a sense of groundedness whilst also exploring our thoughtful or spiritual sides.

I am an experienced counsellor within the LGBTQ+ community. I have also supported many neurodiverse clients. I have lived experience of both these communities. Whilst I work affirmatively with these communities my practice is open to all and I'm fortunate to work with clients from varied backgrounds with diverse identities.

Practice description

I can support you in exploring both common human struggles and deeply personal experiences. We will sit together in a confidential, comfortable space and you can share whatever comes up for you at whatever pace works for you.

Within my practice, I draw on my experience working in community mental health, as well as my background as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist and Yoga and Meditation teacher. I am deeply interested in how we hold experiences in our bodies and how creativity, imagination, movement, and non-verbal communication can support healing.

My Qualifications: PGDip Psychosynthesis Counselling (level 7), MA Dance Movement Psychotherapy.

My first session

I offer a free 15-minute phone or zoom consultation during which we will get to know each other a bit and think about how we might work together.

When we meet, we'll use our first session to have a look at our contract together and I will ask you some initial assessment questions to get a sense of what support you would like.
