About me and my therapy practice

I am offering a warm, compassionate space for individuals and couples who are struggling with anxiety, depression, loss, and the emotional challenges that can come with everyday life. My approach is gentle, relational, and grounded in the belief that therapy works best when you feel understood, supported, and able to be yourself.

How I Work

I integrate the Person-Centred Approach with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), allowing us to work in a way that feels both emotionally supportive and practically helpful. Some clients prefer a reflective, exploratory space; others want tools and strategies to manage overwhelming thoughts and feelings. Many benefit from a blend of both. Together, we find what feels right for you.

Experience

My background includes voluntary work with The Samaritans, supporting individuals in distress, as well as experience within a local abuse charity. Alongside this, I work in private practice, where I have supported clients facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

Practice description

Living with anxiety or depression can feel isolating, exhausting, and confusing. You may find yourself worrying constantly, feeling overwhelmed, or struggling with motivation and low mood. Therapy provides a place to slow down, breathe, and make sense of what’s happening inside you.

In our work together, we explore the emotional roots of your challenges while also building practical ways to manage symptoms day to day. My aim is to help you feel more balanced, empowered, and more connected to yourself and others.

Grief can be one of the most profound and disorienting experiences we face. Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, bereavement often brings a mix of emotions that can feel overwhelming, unpredictable, or difficult to share with others. You may find yourself moving between sadness, anger, numbness, confusion, or moments of calm that quickly shift again. There is no “right” way to grieve and no timeline you are expected to follow.

Therapy offers a gentle, steady space where you can talk openly about your loss, your memories, and the impact this change has had on your life. Together, we explore your emotional experience at a pace that feels right for you, helping you make sense of what you’re carrying while honouring the significance of your relationship with the person you’ve lost.

My aim is to help you feel supported, grounded, and less alone as you move through your grief. While therapy cannot remove the pain of loss, it can help you find steadier footing, reconnect with your strengths, and begin to shape a life that holds both your memories and your future.

My first session

I offer a free 30‑minute introductory call, giving us the chance to talk through what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’re hoping for from the process. Choosing the right therapist is an important decision, and it’s essential that you feel comfortable, understood, and able to ask any questions you may have.

This initial conversation is simply an opportunity for you to get a sense of how I work and to explore whether this feels like a good fit for us to work together. There is no pressure or expectation, just a supportive space to help you make an informed choice about your next steps.
