About me and my therapy practice

Feeling off, down or anxious? Navigating relationships and boundaries feeling overwhelming? Struggling with your sense of self? Whether you're feeling misaligned with yourself, or something has happened that you need some space to process - that's what I'm here for, to hear.

My approach to therapy has the strong belief at its core that you know you the best, and I'm not here to tell you what to do. What I am here to offer is a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings and beliefs, and consider what you want things to be like for you. I'll ask questions, help you spot patterns and maybe gently challenge some processes to try and help you get back in the driver's seat, and feel more in control when things feel like they've gone off the rails.

I work with an 'integrative' approach, meaning I'm flexible in my approach and use a blend of styles to try and find the best support that works for you.

Practice description

I offer weekly telephone and online counselling sessions, which are 50 minutes long. These sessions can be short or long-term, depending on what you need from them.

We'll start with a short phone call where we can chat, briefly explore what you're looking to explore through therapy and see if we'll be a good fit to work together.

My first session

In the first session, we'll go over some important information for our sessions together, such as understanding confidentiality, safeguarding and boundaries. Importantly here we'll discuss this together, and you'll have to chance to ask any questions that you may have about how these sessions will happen.

During the first session I'll gently ask some questions to get to know a bit more about you, and what you're looking for from therapy. While these sessions happen at the pace you're comfortable with, this can help us build a good base to start from, so I can understand what you're looking for some support with and any aims or goals you have for therapy.
