I work primarily online and by phone, which means you can attend sessions from the comfort of your own home, during a break at work, or even while traveling. Each session lasts 50 minutes and there is no limit on the number of sessions you can attend. You are welcome to schedule regular sessions (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly) or simply book them when needed. This flexibility makes it easy to access counselling around busy and unpredictable schedules.

Most clients begin with weekly sessions and gradually reduce the frequency as they feel more confident applying what they have learned in counselling to their everyday life. You are welcome to book a free consultation to explore how we can work together, for you to consider whether I am the right counsellor for you and gain a clearer understanding of how counselling can help you.

I look forward to speaking with you!

About me and my therapy practice

I could help you to:

  • Identify and challenge unhelpful or intrusive thoughts and behaviours that contribute to anxiety.
  • Understand how your past experiences shape your current thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
  • Recognise, understand, and make space for feelings, allowing you to experience them without becoming overwhelmed.
  • Take a step back from your thoughts so you can respond with intention rather than react automatically.
  • Challenge your inner critic and manage negative self-talk, to help you feel more confident and resilient.
  • Develop and maintain healthy boundaries that protect your needs and help you maintain more balanced life.
  • Improve communication skills to express yourself authentically and build stronger, healthier relationships.
  • Address the causes of low mood and motivation by building resilience, coping skills, and reconnecting with what matters to you.
  • Find greater meaning and purpose by exploring your values and beliefs and live a more authentic and fulfilling life.
  • Understand your attachment style and how it influences the way you relate to others.

My Experience

Through my volunteer work with local charities, I have gained valuable experience supporting clients from a diverse range of backgrounds with a variety of concerns, ranging from childhood trauma to work-related stress. I am particularly passionate about supporting those experiencing anxiety, bereavement, or issues around sexuality.

Alongside my private practice, I work as a crisis support worker, providing immediate support to individuals who often feel overlooked by other services.

Practice description

My Counselling Approach

I follow an integrative approach, which means I can draw upon a range of counselling theories and techniques to best meet your needs. This is based on the belief that no single approach will work for all clients and that the most effective counselling is tailored to each person’s individual needs. While my counselling practice is grounded in the person-centred approach, it is often complemented with cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and other modalities when needed. At times I may take a more directive approach to our counselling sessions, offering guidance and practical strategies, while at other times I work in a non-directive way, providing space for you to explore your own thoughts and feelings in a way that feels comfortable for you. Together, we will find the best approach for you.

Supporting Your Progress Between Sessions

As much of the progress happens between sessions, I often provide guided exercises and handouts designed to address your specific concerns, giving you practical tools to reinforce what we discuss and support your progress outside of counselling. I may also recommend additional resources to explore between sessions, helping you take an active role in the counselling process.

My first session

Free Consultation

You are welcome to book a free 25-minute consultation to explore how we can work together, for you to consider whether I am the right counsellor for you and gain a clearer understanding of how counselling can help you. During the consultation, I may ask a few questions about what has brought you to counselling, any previous counselling experiences, and what that was like for you. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share your needs, get to know each other a little before deciding to work together.

When booking, I ask that you complete a brief form to provide the necessary information for counselling to proceed. This helps to understand your needs in advance and whether I am the best person to work with you. There is no pressure to continue beyond the free consultation, it is simply an opportunity for you to get a feel for how I work and consider whether I am the right counsellor for you.

Thank you for taking the time to read my listing. I look forward to speaking with you!
