About me and my therapy practice

Do you feel like parts of your past, perhaps difficulties in your childhood, early loss or neglect, traumatic experiences, a difficult family dynamic or things that were never quite said, are still quietly shaping how you relate to others or see yourself today? You're not alone, and it doesn't have to stay that way.

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist working with adults navigating adverse childhood experiences, grief, loss and trauma.

I work with adults experiencing:

* Anxiety

* Depression

* Low self-esteem and self-criticism

* Feeling “not good enough”

* Burnout and overwhelm

* Relationship difficulties

* Life transitions

* Stress linked to work or family roles

Much of my work focuses on how childhood neglect, loss and abandonment shape our relationships, our sense of identity and our emotional wellbeing long into adulthood, often resurfacing in new ways during times of change.

I have particular clinical experience  in supporting people through life's transitions, whether that's bereavement, a change in health, a shifting family role, or the kind of midlife questioning about meaning, purpose and working out what is next. I also have extensive experience working with older adults.

I hold an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling and have experience working within the NHS and mental health charities. I have also completed specialist training in trauma-informed and somatic approaches as well as working with neurodivergent individuals, and individuals subjected to narcissistic and abusive dynamics.Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent almost 20 years in the corporate legal world across the UK and Europe.

Practice description

As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches depending on what each client needs.

The core of my approach is psychodynamic thinking, influenced by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. This means we won’t just analyse your thoughts, we will explore your patterns, build psychological flexibility and help you move towards a life guided by your values rather than fear or self-doubt.

Therapy with me is about understanding yourself more fully and using that clarity to allow you to move forward with greater clarity and choice.

My style is calm, thoughtful and non-judgemental. My clients appreciate that I don’t just listen, I partner and actively work with them to create meaningful change.

My first session

The first session as an opportunity for us to get to know one another and for you to experience what it is like to work with me.

We will explore your reasons for coming to therapy and discuss how we might work together.

I offer both short and longer term therapy with weekly sessions at an agreed time. Sessions are 50 minutes, with a 24-hour cancellation policy. The number of sessions will depend on your individual needs, wants and circumstances.
