Hello and welcome!
Does your mind feel like it never switches off?
Maybe you’re caught in constant chatter in your head, replaying every conversation, worrying about what other people think, or stuck in endless “what ifs.” You might overthink every interaction, compare yourself to others and wish things could be different.
You’re not alone — and things can change.
I’m a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist offering a calm, compassionate space for you to make sense of your thoughts and feelings. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that drive your worry, self-criticism, or anxiety, and work toward more balanced, kinder ways of thinking.
For a long time, I believed strong people just got on with it. Now I know that real strength comes from being vulnerable, slowing down, and learning to understand yourself.
Therapy can help you quiet the noise, learn about you, and find hope in a calm, compassionate space for you to make sense of your thoughts and feelings. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that drive your worry, self-criticism, or anxiety, and work toward more balanced, kinder ways of thinking.
I have worked within the social care sector for over twenty-five years, supporting people both in times of crisis and when they are struggling to make sense of their lives.
As a parent of two grown up neurodiverse daughters (one AS and the other ADHD) I am aware of some of the challenges faced by both individuals and families.
I am very aware that we are all unique and so is the way we respond to challenges. Where appropriate, therefore I will bring in aspects of other therapeutic modalities to create a tailored approach that works for you.
About me and my therapy practice
Many of the people I work with feel trapped in cycles of overthinking, anxiety, self-doubt or low confidence. Together, we'll take time to understand what is keeping these patterns going and why they may have developed. identify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours, develop practical strategies to help you respond differently, and build confidence in your ability to move forward.

I mainly use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that keep you stuck in worry or overthinking and find practical ways to move forward. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and focused on helping you build self-understanding, confidence, and calm that lasts beyond therapy.

I know from personal experience that the relationship between counsellor and client is fundamental to successful therapy. I therefore am happy to arrange a free Zoom meeting or telephone call for a chat. This gives us the chance to get to know each other a wee bit and for you to ask any questions you may have beore you decide if you're comfortable to go ahead.
