About me and my therapy practice

Life throws us challenges all the time: from daily situations to life-changing events. These experiences make up who we are but sometimes they can be difficult to deal with and can leave us feeling ‘out of sorts’ or perhaps in conflict with who we feel we are. It is in these moments that we might reach out for some extra support.

I support a wide-range of people helping them navigate these life-challenges which may present as anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, anger, guilt, loneliness, loss of confidence and identity.

I can offer short-term sessions (6 -8) if you would like some additional support through a specific transitionary period. I also offer more longer-term sessions if you wish to explore in-depth your identity, values, relationships and sense of meaning during or after these life challenges and transitions. Life transitions can feel destabilising but they can also offer opportunities for clarity and growth. Together we can explore this period of change and how you wish to move forward.

Supporting Parents of Anxious Children

I also help parents who feel overwhelmed, anxious or emotionally exhausted whilst supporting a child who struggles with anxiety. This could take the form of school-based anxiety with children who who might fall under the term Emotionally Based School Avoidant (EBSA). Or your child might be overtaken with constant worries. When your child is struggling it is natural to bring up feelings of anxiety, guilt, loneliness, shame for yourself or the sense of feeling trapped in constant emotional firefighting. Together we can explore your experience, understand your feelings and support you to reconnect with yourself again.

Practice description

Whatever your situation might be, I aim to create a calm and open space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions and experience. My approach is rooted in empathy, non-judgement and compassion, ensuring that you feel heard, understood and supported throughout. I believe it is the quality of the therapeutic relationship that can support and provide you with the awareness to enable change and growth
