About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my profile, my name is Daniella Somers. I am a Counsellor with a wealth of experience and I offer my services inclusively.
As a counsellor I place the therapeutic relationship with my clients at the centre of my therapeutic practice. This means I aim to build trust and empathy with you, in a space that feels nurturing and safe. The space enables you to feel seen, heard and listened too. When the nervous system feels safe the brain can move from survival mode to reflective mode. This opens the oppurtunity for connection.
We will explore the 'why' behind your behaviors, uncovering the roots of patterns formed early in life. While we uncover the source of your distress, I provide practical tools to help you challenge negative thoughts and change habits in the here-and-now".
This means you aren't just learning to cope with anxiety or depression you are fundamentally shifting the way you relate to yourself and the world.
I have worked for several years supporting individuals with confidence, self-esteem, and complex needs. I have experience helping people process anxiety, depression, the postpartum journey, childhood trauma, domestic abuse, self-esteem, chronic illness, grief, and relationship and family issues.
