About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Geordie, and I'm a qualified integrative counsellor offering a supportive space where you can talk openly about whatever’s on your mind. I know that life can feel overwhelming at times, and having a safe, confidential space to untangle your thoughts, explore your feelings, or make sense of difficult experiences can be incredibly helpful.
I work with adults dealing with anxiety, low mood, identity issues, life changes, neurodivergence (ADHD, autism), trauma, and relationship challenges. You might have a clear idea of what’s bringing you to therapy, or just a sense that things don’t feel quite right. Either way, we can work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw from different therapeutic models to suit your individual needs. I believe that therapy isn't a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. We’re all unique, and I’ll always meet you where you are.
Alongside my private practice, I’ve worked in an NHS setting, supporting clients with a wide range of issues. I also have many years of experience in creative industries, so I understand the particular pressures that can come with work, creativity, and juggling multiple roles.
Whether you’re looking for short-term support or longer-term work, I’m here to offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood.
Sessions are available online or in person.
Practice description
In-person sessions take place in a quiet, confidential space tucked away at the back of Surbiton Health Food Shop. There's a relaxed waiting area if you arrive early, and convenient parking with 2 hours free at Waitrose just across the road.
I also offer online sessions via Zoom, from my calm, private online room to yours, wherever you feel most comfortable.
Online and in-person sessions are 50 minutes long, giving you the flexibility to access therapy from home, work, or wherever suits you best.
My first session
Before we begin, I offer a free 20-minute online “get to know you” session. This gives you a chance to meet me, ask any questions, and get a feel for how I work, with no obligation to begin therapy.
If you decide to go ahead, our first full session will be a gentle starting point. We’ll explore what’s brought you to therapy, talk about your hopes and needs, and begin to get a sense of how we might work together. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and supported from the very beginning.
