About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Keely — an integrative counsellor offering face‑to‑face sessions in Sevenoaks, Kent, as well as online.
I work from both psychodynamic and person‑centred approaches, drawing on each in a way that best supports you. The therapeutic relationship is central to our work together, and I aim to provide a warm, safe, empathic and non‑judgemental space where you can explore whatever you wish to bring to therapy. I have experience working with trauma, addiction, anxiety, stress, anger, grief, life changes and relationship issues with both adults and adolescents.
A person‑centred approach allows us to focus on the present — how you’re feeling in the here and now, the challenges you’re facing, and the changes you may want to make.
There may also be unresolved experiences from the past that you want to understand more deeply. Drawing on a psychodynamic approach, we can explore these earlier experiences to make sense of how they have shaped you and how they may be influencing your life today. Gaining insight into these patterns can support greater self‑awareness, understanding and empowerment for change.
Working within an integrative framework means that therapy is tailored to you — your needs, your pace, and what feels most helpful for your growth and wellbeing.
Practice description
Trust is central to my work, and I aim to offer a warm, safe and non‑judgemental space where you can feel truly seen and heard. Together, we can explore your experiences in depth and work through whatever you wish to process, supporting greater self‑awareness, healing and growth.
Every person is unique, and I will be alongside you at your pace, taking time to understand you and what you need from therapy. My approach is calm, steady and attuned, creating space for reflection, insight and meaningful change.
My style is gentle, curious and reflective, I listen carefully to both what is said and what may be harder to put into words. We will move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you, without pressure to share more than you're ready for. Many clients seek support with anxiety, low mood, relationship patterns or the impact of past experiences.
I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP, working within their ethical framework and attending regular supervision to ensure safe and professional practice.
Sessions take place in central Sevenoaks, Kent, or online if you prefer to work remotely.
My first session
After your initial email I will contact you at an agreed time for an initial 15 minute conversation on the phone to understand what you are looking for from your therapy, any questions you have and discuss availability.
If you would then like to proceed ahead, we would have our first session together where you could share in more detail about what's brought you here, what your expectations from therapy are and I can explain more about the counselling process.
Here, we can get an opportunity to know each other and a feel for if you think we would be a good fit to work together. I understand that reaching out can feel daunting and that it's important to find a counsellor who you feel comfortable with for your therapeutic process.
