About me and my therapy practice
You might be coming to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, or tired of holding everything together on your own. You may be looking for someone who feels steady, safe, and able to hold what you’re carrying.
I’m Victoria Penfold, a Psychosynthesis therapist and BACP-registered practitioner. I offer a warm, honest, and compassionate space where you don’t have to perform or be “okay”, and we go at your pace, with all parts of you welcome.
I work with the whole person, not just thoughts or symptoms, which include the patterns you’ve learned. Alongside talking therapy, I draw on tools from nutrition, exercise, and practical life support to ensure the body is included in your journey.
I work through an integrative model that combines therapy, nutrition, exercise, life coaching, and financial wellbeing, which I have developed and which forms the basis of my PhD research.
For many people, emotional pain doesn’t just live in the mind — it shows up in the body as tension, anxiety, numbness, or feeling constantly on edge. By working with both the mind and body, we can help your system feel calmer, more supported, and grounded, creating greater clarity from which we can begin to build a life in line with what you truly want.
I work with corporate professionals, business owners, founders, and individuals from a range of backgrounds navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, attachment wounds, disordered eating, and times of loss or transition.
My aim is to help you feel more connected, more resilient, and more yourself — held with both compassion and structure.
Sessions are available online and in person in London and Borehamwood.
Practice description
My practice is rooted in WholeyFit – The Soul’s Compass Method™, an integrative approach I developed to support real, embodied change, through an integrative model that combines therapy, nutrition, exercise, life coaching, and financial wellbeing, which forms the basis of my PhD research.
Rather than focusing on one part of you, we look at how your emotional world, your body, your relationships, and your day-to-day life all interact. Alongside talking therapy, we explore early experiences that still affect how you relate to and communicate with yourself and others today, notice how emotions show up in your body, and look at what helps you feel steadier and more supported in everyday life.
This can include building boundaries, routines, practical structures, and regulation tools that help life feel more manageable.
My practice is trauma-informed, warm, and relational. I offer a space where you can explore the patterns and survival strategies that once helped you cope, and consider whether they still serve you now. Together, we focus on building clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of self-trust, so you can move through life with more confidence and find places where you belong rather than feel you have to fit in
My first session
Your first session — whether in person or on Zoom — is a 30-minute space to meet, talk, and see if we feel like the right fit for one another. We explore what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and anything you may feel unsure or nervous about.
This session isn’t therapy yet. It’s about beginning to build safety, trust, and clarity. If we both feel aligned and choose to continue, we’ll discuss a starting point.
