About me and my therapy practice

My name is Alex and I am an integrative counsellor. I am a member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

My aim is to listen and provide a warm, compassionate, supportive therapeutic space for you. Whether you are struggling, feeling lost, stuck, burnt out or overwhelmed. We can work together to help you figure it out.

With me you can explore your feelings without the fear of judgement, reduce anxiety, gain clarity, and work towards  healing and personal growth. I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey at a pace that suits you.

work in a neuro affirming way, where I prioritise understanding your unique experiences and aspirations, guiding you through transformative processes that hopefully lead to positive change and fulfilment.

I believe that when we understand  ourselves and our life situations we can begin to shift the discomfort of emotionally distressing times.

Introducing  new ways to cope and self care can build our confidence in taking one small step at a time to change our current situations. The relationship we can build will hopefully enable you to begin to explore what's keeping you stuck, what's driving it and ways that you can unlock yourself from past thinking and behaviours that you no longer feel comfortable with. In essence, you learn to become your own therapist.

If this sounds like the kind of support you need feel free to reach out if you'd like to learn more or schedule a session.

In our sessions my aim is to listen and provide a warm, compassionate, supportive space. Whether you are struggling, feeling lost, stuck, burnt out or overwhelmed. We can work on whatever matters most to you together to help you figure it out.

With me you can confidentially explore your feelings without the fear of judgement, gain clarity, and work towards healing and personal growth. I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey at a pace that suits you.

I work in a neuro-affirming way where I prioritise understanding your unique experiences and aspirations, guiding you through processes that hopefully lead to positive change and fulfilment.

Perhaps we might mix things up a little and go outside to walk at the sea front, or work creatively with arts and craft materials. We may work on introducing tools to better manage anxiety or relieve stress and then explore where these feeling and experiences come from.

I believe that understanding ourselves and our life situations can begin to shift the discomfort of emotionally distressing times. Applying new ways to cope and self-care can build our confidence in taking one small step at a time to change our current situations.
