About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Fareen, an Old Street based therapist. Conveniently located for professionals across Tech City, Shoreditch, and the surrounding area, I work with adults who have spent a long time adapting, coping, and putting parts of themselves aside. Therapy with me is a dedicated space to pause, look inward, and decide what you truly want next.

Practice description

Holding everything together can leave you feeling completely overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted. You may have spent years putting other people's needs first, adapting to heavy expectations, and putting parts of yourself aside.

Together, we can gently process difficult life experiences, trauma, and the old coping strategies that get buried beneath survival mode. My goal is to help you release the weight of the past so you can feel ready to move forward and carve out the life you choose.

You might be coming to therapy because you are experiencing:

  • The exhaustion of overthinking: Chronic anxiety, harsh self-criticism, and the relentless pressure to keep performing.
  • Losing your boundaries: Struggling with perfectionism, people-pleasing, and prioritising everyone else's needs above your own.
  • Anxious relationship patterns: Noticing cycles that leave you feeling disconnected, rejected, or constantly walking on eggshells.
  • Unpacking the past: Understanding how childhood experiences, relational trauma, or unmet emotional needs still dictate your present.
  • Identity & hidden expectations: Navigating family pressures, religious trauma, identity shifts, or simply feeling profoundly misunderstood.
  • Navigating loss: Processing grief, unexpected endings, or disruptive life transitions.

I believe therapy is not about changing who you are, but about understanding yourself more deeply and building a relationship with all parts of your experience.

Many of us develop ways of coping that once helped us survive but later leave us feeling stuck or disconnected. Therapy can be a place to explore those patterns, understand where they came from, and create new ways of connecting with yourself and the world.

I offer a collaborative, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent-affirming space where you can be honest, curious, and fully yourself without judgement. Whatever you are navigating, you do not have to figure it out alone.

My first session

I offer a free, no-pressure initial consultation where we can talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and whether working together feels like the right fit.

If we decide to continue, our first session is an opportunity to begin exploring your experiences at your own pace and consider what support would be most helpful for you.
