About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I run my private practice alongside my work as a counsellor at Highgate Counselling Centre.

My core approach is psychodynamic, which means that I am interested not only in what is happening in your life now, but also in understanding how earlier experiences, relationships and emotional patterns may continue to influence the way you feel, relate to others and see yourself. I also integrate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Gestalt therapy, allowing me to adapt our work to you as an individual.

I work with both women and men experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low mood, bereavement and loss, relationship difficulties, loneliness, low self-worth, self-harm and suicidal thoughts. I am also particularly interested in identity, belonging, life transitions and the experience of living between cultures.

My professional training includes Highgate Counselling Centre, Tavistock Relationships and The Gestalt Centre. I am committed to continuous professional development and regularly undertake further training to deepen and broaden my clinical work.

I attend weekly clinical supervision, which supports me in maintaining a thoughtful, ethical and high standard of practice.

I offer online therapy in both English and Polish.

Practice description

Sometimes we know that something in our life needs to change, but we don't quite know where to begin. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, loss or relationship difficulties, or perhaps life looks fine from the outside but inside you feel overwhelmed, disconnected or simply not yourself.

My approach is both supportive and engaging. I won't simply sit silently while you talk. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships and experiences with curiosity and compassion, looking at both what is happening now and the patterns that may have developed earlier in your life.

My core approach is psychodynamic, integrated with elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Gestalt therapy. This allows us not only to develop a deeper understanding of why you feel or respond in certain ways, but also to explore your values, how you relate to difficult thoughts and emotions, and how you might begin to live in a way that feels more meaningful and authentic.

Therapy requires commitment and can sometimes be challenging. It is not about changing who you are or giving you ready-made answers. Over time, it can help you understand yourself more deeply, recognise patterns that no longer serve you, develop a stronger sense of self and discover new ways of navigating life's difficulties.

I work with warmth, compassion and without judgement, offering a confidential space where you can slow down, be genuinely heard and explore parts of yourself that may not have had space elsewhere.

Helping you come home to yourself.

My first session

Your First Session

Choosing the right therapist can feel overwhelming. Qualifications and therapeutic approach matter, but so does something much more personal: whether you feel comfortable, understood and able to trust the person you are speaking to.

Free 15-minute phone consultation

When you first get in touch, I offer a complimentary telephone consultation of up to 15 minutes. This gives us an opportunity to introduce ourselves, briefly talk about what brings you to therapy and consider whether we might be a good fit. There is no obligation to continue.

If you decide to take the next step, we will arrange an initial consultation. This is slightly different from ongoing therapy and gives us more time to understand what you are experiencing and what you would like to gain from our work together.

We will talk about your current difficulties, relevant aspects of your background and relationships, any previous experience of therapy, and what you hope might change. I will also explain how I work and there will be plenty of space for you to ask questions.

Most importantly, the first session is an opportunity for you to experience what it feels like to talk with me. By the end, I will let you know whether I believe I can support you, and you can take time to decide whether you would like us to work together. There is no pressure to commit.

The initial consultation may last up to 90 minutes and the fee is £60.

About me and my therapy practice

I believe that all people are created to live a thriving life - not one without challenges or obstacles - but a life filled with meaning.

I also recognize that for some, this kind of life may be easier to achieve, while for others, it may come with muchgreater difficulties. Sometimes, we find ourselves merely trying to survive, and in those moments, we may even lose hope that things can change for the better.

I won’t promise you a life without challenges or hardships—because such a life doesn’t exist. However, I can promise that through our work together, you will feel more confident and empowered to navigate life’s challenges and embrace a life of abundance.

Practice description

My approach is both supportive and engaging. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Therapy requires commitment and can sometimes be challenging, but over time, it can bring deeper self-awareness, a greater understanding of your relationships, and new ways to navigate life’s obstacles.

I work with warmth, compassion, and without judgment, providing a safe and confidential space where you can truly be heard.

I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I run a private practice while also working as a counsellor at Highgate Counselling Centre.

I am committed to continuous learning and regularly enhance my skills through CPD (Continuing Professional Development). I also engage in weekly supervision to ensure the highest standard of support for my clients.

My first session

Choosing the right therapist can feel overwhelming, but it’s important to find someone you trust and feel comfortable with. A strong therapeutic relationship is built on a sense of safety and connection.

Free 15-Minute Phone Consultation

When you reach out, I offer a complimentary phone consultation of up to 15 minutes. This is an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves, giving you a sense of how I work and whether we might be a good fit. It also allows me to gain a better understanding of the challenges you’re facing.

If you decide to move forward, we’ll begin with an initial consultation. This session differs slightly from ongoing therapy—it’s a chance for us to explore what you’re hoping to gain from therapy and get a feel for working together.

We’ll discuss your background, any difficulties you’re experiencing, and how therapy might support you. It’s also an opportunity for you to see if you feel comfortable with me and my approach.

By the end of our session, I’ll share whether I believe I can help, and you’ll have time to decide if you’d like to continue—there’s absolutely no pressure to commit.

The first session may last up to 90 minutes.

The fee for the first session is 55.
