About me and my therapy practice
I offer a space where you don't have to carry everything on your own.
I work with thoughtful, capable adults who are used to managing a lot independently. You may keep going and appear to be doing well even when things feel difficult, while inside you experience anxiety, overwhelm, grief, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or a sense that something isn't quite right.
I have particular experience working with people who are used to being strong and self-reliant, and who may find it difficult to prioritise their own needs or ask for support. You may come to therapy following a loss, during relationship or work difficulties, when adapting to a change in your life, or because familiar ways of coping are no longer working.
I also work with people navigating demanding careers and high-pressure environments. Having previously worked in professional services, I understand how the pressures of work and achievement can affect your wellbeing, relationships and sense of self.
Together, we can explore the experiences and patterns that have shaped you and help you reconnect with your feelings, needs and parts of yourself that may have been set aside. Over time, many people find their anxiety eases, their self-esteem grows, and they feel more able to navigate relationships and life's challenges.
If this resonates, you're very welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.
Practice description
Alongside talking things through, I may invite you to pay attention to emotions, bodily sensations, images, dreams, or other aspects of your experience that are harder to put into words. This is influenced in part by my background in yoga, which taught me the value of listening to what the body may be communicating alongside the mind. I am interested not only in what you think about your life, but also in how you experience it.
Often, the ways we learn to cope with difficult experiences make sense in the context of our lives, even when they begin to cause difficulties later on. Together, we can explore how patterns from earlier experiences continue to shape your relationships, choices, and sense of self today, and whether they are still working for you.
My aim is not to turn you into someone different, but to help you develop a more understanding relationship with yourself and greater freedom to choose how you want to live.
Having lived in three different countries and cultures, I have a personal understanding of what it can mean to leave familiar surroundings behind, adapt to new environments, and search for a sense of belonging. I value working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, genders, sexualities, and life experiences. I offer therapy in both English and Russian.
I hold a Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling from Re-Vision Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy in London and am a registered psychotherapeutic counsellor with both BACP and UKCP.
I offer both open-ended and time-limited therapy. Sessions are available in person near London Bridge and online.
I work with adults aged 18 or over.
My first session
Starting therapy and sharing personal experiences with someone new can feel like a big step, so it’s important to find someone you feel a connection with. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute introductory call.
During this call, we can discuss how therapy works, what you hope to get out of it, and I can answer any questions about my approach. It’s a chance to see whether we might be a good fit and whether you feel comfortable moving forward.
If we decide to proceed, the first session will be a consultation. I may ask a few questions about your relationships and family, and you’ll have space to share what’s bringing you to therapy at this time.
In ongoing sessions, you’re welcome to bring whatever feels most important to you. Together, we’ll build a trusting relationship and find a way of working that feels right for you.
Sessions are usually held weekly, on the same day and at the same time, to provide consistency and stability.
Please contact me for availability.
