About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Marina, a qualified therapist based in London.
I work with thoughtful, capable adults who manage a great deal independently. You may keep going even when things feel difficult, yet inside you may sense that something isn’t quite right, particularly in your relationships, your self-esteem, or how you feel within yourself.
People often come to me with anxiety, overwhelm, depression, grief, or relationship difficulties. I have particular experience working with those who are used to being strong and who may find it hard to prioritise their own needs or ask for support.
I offer a space where you don’t have to carry everything on your own. Together we explore the patterns that have shaped you and help you reconnect with your feelings, instincts, and the parts of yourself that may have been set aside. Many people find their anxiety eases, self-esteem grows, and relationships feel more natural and secure.
If this resonates, you’re very welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.
Practice description
I work in a gentle, sensitive, and trauma-informed way. My approach is integrative, which means that, depending on your needs and preferences, I may incorporate different therapeutic modalities into our work.
My own journey through therapy was deeply transformative, and it continues to shape how I hold space for my clients. I have particular experience supporting adults who are used to being strong for others or navigating high-pressure, fast-paced environments. We gently explore the patterns and experiences that have influenced your emotions and relationships, helping you reconnect with yourself.
Drawing on my background in yoga, I may occasionally invite you to gently notice your physical experience during sessions. This can offer a supportive pathway to understanding your emotions and listening to what they may be communicating.
Having lived in three different countries, I also bring a personal awareness of what it means to navigate differences and seek belonging. I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, genders, and sexualities.
I am a qualified therapist with a Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling from Re-Vision Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy in London. I follow the BACP Ethical Framework, which helps ensure a safe and ethical therapeutic relationship.
We can work together on a long-term, open-ended basis or for a fixed term. We can discuss what works best for you and reassess as we go along.
I see clients in therapy rooms near London Bridge and online.
I work with adults aged 18 or over.
My first session
Starting therapy and sharing personal experiences with someone new can feel like a big step, so it’s important to find someone you feel a connection with. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute introductory call.
During this call, we can discuss how therapy works, what you hope to get out of it, and I can answer any questions about my approach. It’s a chance to see whether we might be a good fit and whether you feel comfortable moving forward.
If we decide to proceed, the first session will be a consultation. I may ask a few questions about your relationships and family, and you’ll have space to share what’s bringing you to therapy at this time.
In ongoing sessions, you’re welcome to bring whatever feels most important to you. Together, we’ll build a trusting relationship and find a way of working that feels right for you.
Sessions are usually held weekly, on the same day and at the same time, to provide consistency and stability.
Please contact me for availability.
