About me and my therapy practice

I work with people who may be holding a lot in, feeling under pressure, or finding it difficult to talk about what is going on internally.

You might feel like you are coping on the outside, but underneath things feel more complicated, overwhelming, or disconnected than you let on.

I offer a calm, supportive and confidential space where you can slow things down, make sense of your experience, and talk at your own pace without judgement.

I provide sessions online via Zoom.

Practice description

I work with adults, including men and LGBTQ+ clients, who may be experiencing a range of emotional and relational difficulties.

Many of the people I see feel stuck in patterns that are hard to shift, including challenges around identity, relationships, anxiety, low mood, trauma history, or feeling disconnected from themselves or others.

The kinds of difficulties you might be facing

You may recognise yourself in some of the following:

  • feeling under pressure but not sure how to express it
  • finding it difficult to talk about emotions or ask for help
  • feeling disconnected, numb, or overwhelmed
  • struggling with relationships or intimacy
  • carrying experiences from the past that still affect you now
  • questioning identity or feeling uncertain about where you fit

You don’t need to have everything neatly defined before starting therapy. Sometimes people come to me simply with a sense that “something isn’t right” and that’s a valid place to begin.

How I work

My approach is relational and collaborative, which means we work together at a pace that feels manageable for you.

Sessions are a space where you can begin to notice patterns, understand your emotional experience more clearly, and gradually make sense of things that may have felt difficult to talk about elsewhere.

What clients often find helpful

People often come to therapy expecting to focus on specific problems, but over time find it helpful to:

  • understand themselves more clearly
  • feel more emotionally connected and less stuck
  • improve relationships and communication
  • reduce internal pressure and self criticism
  • develop more confidence in expressing what they need

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you are used to managing things on your own.

If you would like to see whether working together might be a good fit, you are welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation.

My first session

Our first session is a chance to explore what’s brought you to counselling, whether it’s a specific issue or a general need to talk things through.
