Availability
I currently have availability for online, in-person and telephone integrative therapy. I am based in Clapham Junction, Battersea, London, SW11.
I work Monday to Thursday 8am to 8pm.
As a BACP registered integrative counsellor in private practice I offer short and long-term therapy for 18+adults in-person, online and by telephone. Often our work may be guided by an attachment-based approach.
I have almost 2 years of experience working on a weekly basis for my local NHS Talking Therapy Service.
About me and my therapy practice
Well done for getting to here.
'There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.’ (Maya Angelou)
Wouldn't it really help to have a non-judgemental someone to talk to? To listen as you share and explore what you are really thinking and feeling – all that you have been keeping inside, hidden for too long.
For me, at the heart of integrative therapy is the relationship between us. We work together, yet you are the expert on you. You choose the content that we talk about and explore.
My clients bring a very wide range of issues, problems, worries and dilemmas to our sessions.
My life so far, has been rich in terms of lived experience, motherhood, work and travel - presenting plenty of personal and professional challenges. After many nourishing years teaching English at a local inner-city state school for boys, I chose to opt for change embarking on a second career in counselling. I am happily immersed in my private practice work and am thoroughly committed to supporting my clients.
I value, respect, celebrate and welcome diversity and difference.
Practice description
Do pay a visit to my website to learn a little more about me and the way I work. If you feel I might be the right counsellor for you, do contact me via my contact page and we will arrange to talk.
I am here to help and support you.
I offer a 50- minute appointment once a week (or fortnight if you prefer) either in-person, online or by telephone.
In-person appointments take place in my calm room 6-minutes walk from Clapham Junction train station, London, SW11.
We work together to explore the thoughts, feelings and emotions evoked in both your mind and body. As you share and explore your story together we may notice life patterns and reflect how your early childhood attachments may impact on your current relationships and how you communicate with those you love.
Working together can encourage you to deepen your curiosity and help you to feel more secure, hopeful and self-compassionate.
Having contacted me I try to reply promptly. I offer a free no obligation 20-minute telephone conversation or Zoom for you to share your hopes and expectations for therapy and for me to answer your questions. We then take it from there. If you feel we have a potential connection and feel comfortable to move forward, we will arrange to meet at our first consultation appointment.
There is no obligation to book a number of sessions up front.
My first session
Most of our initial session takes the form of a consulation. This is the only appointment we have that I ask several questions and take notes. Your responses allow me to establish a little about you, your history. You have an opportunity to share with me what brings you to therapy. As always we work at your pace. By the end of this first session your gut and your heart will tell you if I am the right counsellor for you.
Hold on to your courage in seeking help and keep being kind to yourself as you take these first brave steps in beginning to restore and renew your well-being.
Things can be better than they are today.
I look forward to hearing from you.
