Availability

I currently have availability for weekly and fortnightly online, in-person and telephone integrative therapy.

I am based in Clapham Junction, Battersea, London, SW11.

I work Monday to Thursday 8am to 8pm.

As a BACP registered integrative counsellor in private practice I offer short and long-term therapy for 18+adults in-person, online and by telephone. Often our work may be guided by an attachment-based approach.

I have almost 2 years of experience working on a weekly basis for my local NHS Talking Therapy Service.

About me and my therapy practice

Well done for getting to here.

'There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.’ (Maya Angelou)

Wouldn't it be valuable and nourishing to have a weekly non-judgemental and supportive listener? An opportunity to talk about your worries, share, explore and unpack your concerns? Someone to actively listen as you begin to untangle what you are really thinking and feeling – all that you have been keeping inside, hidden for too long.

Clients bring a very wide range of issues, problems, worries and dilemmas to our sessions.

You may be lonely, experiencing insecurity, not feeling good enough or navigating ongoing conflict in your relationship.

You may be struggling with grief, navigating a toxic workplace or feel exhausted and overwhelmed with all that you have going on.

You may be caught up in a cycle of people-pleasing and self-blame while your inner critical voice tells you repeatedly that you should be doing better.

You may have ADHD, ASD or AuDHD (diagnosed or undiagnosed) and are finding it increasingly hard to cope and regulate your emotions in what feels like an increasingly neurotypical world.

My life so far has been rich in lived experience, motherhood, work and travel, bringing both personal and professional challenges. After many fulfilling years teaching English at a local inner-city state school, I chose to make a change and begin a second career in therapy and counselling. I am now happily immersed in my private practice and fully committed to supporting my clients.

I work with cultural humility. I value, respect, celebrate and welcome diversity and difference.

Practice description

For me, the collaborative relationship between the client and therapist is at the heart of therapy.  We work together, yet you are the expert on you. If you feel I can be the counsellor for you, pop to my website and have a look at my FAQs to find out more about me and my work.

I offer a free 20-minute phone conversation or zoom call (your choice) giving you the opportunity to share your hopes and expectations for therapy.  If you feel we have a potential connection and are comfortable to move forward, we will arrange to meet for your first consultation appointment.

There is no obligation to book any number of sessions up front.

In-person appointments take place in my room, a six-minute walk from Clapham Junction station. Sessions last 50 minutes and are available weekly or fortnightly, in person, online or by telephone.

We work at your pace exploring the thoughts, feelings and emotions evoked in your mind and body as well as noticing and reflecting your life patterns and how these impact your adult relationships.

Having the courage to tell your story can develop your curiosity and hopefulness, deepen self-compassion and security and bring about shifts and change.

We may reflect on your present worries, your early attachments and consider how you communicate (or struggle to communicate) with those you love.

We may notice the stress, tightness and tension you carry.

Contact me and I will get back to you as promptly as I can. I will answer any questions you have, and we will take it from there. Assuming you feel comfortable and want to move forwards then we arrange to meet either in-person, online or by telephone.

There is no obligation to book any more than this first session.

My first session

Your initial session is a consultation. This is the only time I will ask a series of questions and take notes so I can understand your history, while giving you space and time to share what has brought you to therapy.

Following this session, you will know in your heart if I am the right counsellor for you.

Being here now and reading this means that you have already taken the hardest step. Hold onto your courage as you seek support to begin to restore and renew your well-being.

Things can be better than they are today.

I look forward to hearing from you.
