About me and my therapy practice
I'm a qualified psychotherapist with an MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy and over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse, predominantly working in oncology and senior clinical leadership.
My approach is warm, relational and grounded in Gestalt psychotherapy. I believe that developing a trusting therapeutic relationship creates opportunities for greater self-awareness, personal growth and meaningful change.
Practice description
My practice is rooted in Gestalt psychotherapy, a holistic and relational approach that recognises the connection between our emotional, physical and psychological experiences.
I work collaboratively, offering a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences, develop greater self-awareness and discover new ways of relating to yourself and others.
My approach is relational, embodied and trauma-informed. Alongside talking therapy, I may invite you to explore your emotions, bodily sensations and patterns of relating through creative therapeutic experiments, always guided by what feels comfortable and appropriate for you.
I believe that therapy is not about being given answers but about developing a deeper understanding of yourself, your experiences and the possibilities for change.
I offer both short-term and longer-term psychotherapy, depending on your individual needs and circumstances.
Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £85. I offer face-to-face therapy in Chiswick, West London, and online sessions via Zoom for clients across the UK.
My first session
Taking the first step towards therapy can sometimes feel daunting, so I offer a complimentary 20-minute introductory consultation via Zoom.
This gives us an opportunity to meet, talk about what has brought you to therapy, explore what you might be looking for and answer any questions you may have. It's also an opportunity for us both to consider whether working together feels right.
If we decide to proceed, our first full session will allow us to explore your current circumstances, what you hope to gain from therapy and any relevant background you feel comfortable sharing. We'll also discuss how we might work together and agree on the practical arrangements.
There's no expectation to share everything straight away. Building trust takes time, and we'll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Sessions last 50 minutes, cost £85 and generally take place weekly, either in person in Chiswick or online via Zoom.
