About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my practice, Leah's Pathway To Healing. My name is Leah, and I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with their Ethical Framework.
My work is underpinned by trauma-informed practice, which promotes collaboration, autonomy and safety. Whatever brings you to counselling, I aim to create a space that feels empowering and unfiltered, where you can be open and fully yourself.
I believe counselling is about both understanding where we have come from and creating space for where we want to go. Together, we can explore your experiences, work through what may be keeping you 'stuck', and support you in moving towards meaningful change.
Practice description
My practice, Leah’s Pathway To Healing, is currently a remote-only practice, offering counselling through online video and telephone sessions. I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, with sessions available weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
My practice is rooted in integrative counselling, which means I am able to draw upon more than one therapeutic approach when working with clients. My work is primarily influenced by person-centred therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and attachment theory.
My first session
10-15 minute Pre-Counselling Consultation (free, remote)
Choosing a counsellor can feel like a difficult decision! If you are unsure whether I am the right counsellor for you, you are welcome to get in touch to arrange a free pre-counselling consultation (remote). This gives us a chance to briefly connect, ask any initial questions, and explore whether an assessment feels like the right next step.
60 minute Assessment (£45, remote)
Before we decide whether to work together, we will arrange a 60-minute assessment (£45). This is a more in-depth session than the pre-counselling consultation, where we can explore what has brought you to counselling, the experiences that have shaped you, and what you hope to gain from counselling. Together, we will consider whether my practice feels suitable for your needs at this time.
