About me and my therapy practice
I believe deep change comes through insight, new emotional experience, and clarity about how you relate to others.
I take an approach that is both psychodynamic and existential. The first attends to the nature of your attachments past and present, the emotions and behaviours that overwhelm or baffle you, and how experience has shaped you in ways that you now struggle with. The second explores what it is for you to be alive, and within it the challenge of finding purpose, gratitude, or even humour.
What’s crucial is that we get along, and that you feel able to speak freely and tolerate occasional difficult moments. Everything we explore will remain in the context of your unique self and experience. I hear you, as you are.
Practice description
Why therapy? Because you’re seeking change. That is the only criterion.
Therapy attends to the thing you hope to understand, improve, stop, grieve, or heal. Something all-too-familiar, or that you may not have words for yet. Something about your inner life, or what it’s like to be out there amongst others. Something about what happened then, or that isn’t happening now. Something that needs to change.
We’ll meet in-person (occasionally online when necessary), long or short term, usually weekly. I have a calm and private consulting room near Dartmouth Park in North London. Parking is available nearby. Tufnell Park, Archway, and Upper Holloway stations are a few minutes walk.

It starts with a simple conversation. If it looks like a match, we'll typically agree a regular weekly time that works for you.
