About me and my therapy practice
Welcome — I’m Vidushi Gupta
You might be finding your way here because something doesn’t quite feel right.
On the outside, you may be managing—working, showing up, holding things together. But internally, things can feel heavy, unclear, or disconnected. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, or questioning parts of your identity, relationships, or direction in life.
Therapy offers a space to pause and begin making sense of that.
About Me:
I was born and raised in New York to South Asian immigrant parents, and moved to London in 2018. That transition was both disorienting and deeply transformative, as it asked me to confront questions around identity, belonging, and change in ways I hadn’t contemplated.
This lived experience continues to shape how I work: with sensitivity to what it means to navigate different worlds, hold multiple parts of yourself, and find your own voice within that.
My Approach
I see therapy as more than problem-solving. It’s a space for understanding yourself more deeply—how you feel, relate, cope, and make meaning of your experiences.
Together, we might explore:
-behavioural patterns that feel hard to shift
-early experiences and how they show up in the present
-relationships, with others and with yourself
-feelings that are difficult to name or hold
At times, the work may feel reflective and exploratory; at others, more grounding and focused on the present. I work at your pace, with care and curiosity, creating a space where you don’t have to have everything figured out.
Practice description
How I Work
I’m a BACP-registered integrative counsellor offering face-to-face therapy in North London and online sessions across the UK.
My approach brings together humanistic and psychodynamic perspectives, alongside multicultural and intersectional awareness. In practice, this means I pay attention not only to your internal world, but also to the wider contexts that shape you—family, culture, identity, and lived experience.
I aim to offer a space that feels steady, thoughtful, and real; where you can begin to unpack what’s going on beneath the surface, reconnect with yourself, and move towards meaningful, sustainable change.
As a therapist with a background shaped by multiple cultures, I understand some of the complexities of navigating cultural expectations, intergenerational dynamics, and the tension between individuality and belonging. There is space here to approach these experiences with care, allowing for reflection and understanding to unfold over time.
