About me and my therapy practice

Starting therapy can feel like a big and sometimes overwhelming step. I offer a gentle, compassionate space where you can bring whatever you’re carrying -without fear of judgment. You’re welcome just as you are.

I’m a BACP-qualified integrative counsellor, which means I draw from a variety of approaches and tailor our work to suit your needs as a whole person. These include psychodynamic therapy - exploring how early experiences and unconscious patterns shape us - as well as existential and humanistic perspectives that focus on meaning, presence, and your potential for growth. I also hold awareness of the wider world and the impact of systemic and social injustices that can make life more difficult.

Although I work with a range of issues, I have specific interest in sexual violence, domestic abuse, coercive control, narcissistic family systems, racial and cultural identities, LGBTQ+ identities, grief, loss, and death. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, relational approach that honours the complexities of survival, identity, and the sacred work of reclaiming voice and agency.

Practice description

I believe that healing and change unfold through the relationships we build—with ourselves, with others, and in the space between. My approach is rooted in deep curiosity, respect, and care for each person’s unique story.

Alongside talking therapy, I bring in my experience as a yoga teacher. We can gently explore how body awareness, breath, and grounding practices support your emotional wellbeing.

If words feel too much—or not quite enough—I can offer creative ways to express and explore what’s within, including art, movement, and sandtray. I also offer eco-therapy for those drawn to reconnecting with nature as part of their healing journey. Do enquire about these alternatives and we can plan to bring them into sessions.

I work with a range of experiences including anxiety, depression, low self-worth, grief and loss, trauma, identity questions, family and relationship difficulties, and the impact of cultural or systemic oppression. I hold space for the quiet, tender, tangled places we might not often share with others. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply longing for something to shift, we can gently explore what’s going on underneath, and what might help you move forward with more ease and self-trust.
