About me and my therapy practice

I am a warm and relational counsellor and together we can focus on whatever you would like to bring.

You could be facing anxiety, burnout, relationship pressures, or repeating patterns that leave you feeling stuck. Maybe you have found yourself thinking that something has to change, but you are not sure how.

You don’t have to work this all out by yourself.

Together, we can help you to:

  • Recognise your emotions and recurring patterns
  • Work out what you truly need — at your own pace, without judgment.
  • Get a clearer understanding of what’s happening beneath the surface, even when it’s hard to explain.
  • Find practical ways to reconnect with yourself — feeling calmer, and more in control.

I know how heavy life can feel. Whether you’re overwhelmed, feeling stuck, or simply exhausted from holding everything on your own, I can support you in finding a way forward that feels right for you.

My approach is warm, and supportive. I’ll ask meaningful questions, share genuine reflections, and work alongside you and at your pace.

Practice description

I am naturally empathic and compassionate, and this is reflected in my counselling style.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw on different counselling approaches so that we can work in a way that feels right for you and your unique situation. I believe that a genuine, trusting counselling relationship can bring about meaningful change.

I work with hearing and also Deaf clients - I am fluent in British Sign Language (BSL), having worked for many years as a sign language interpreter, and I offer a safe, accessible counselling space for Deaf and hard of hearing clients, as well as for parents of Deaf children who wish to explore the unique experiences and pressures they face.

I value the courage it takes to acknowledge feelings of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and finding a counsellor you trust is so important. It can take courage to ask for help - I offer an initial short minute phone call for us to talk and explore what your needs are.

If you would like to take the next step, please do get in touch via email to chat through how I might be able to support you.

My first session

If you decide you would like to go ahead, our first counselling session will be a gentle, welcoming space for us to get to know each other further. We will talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you would like to get out of our sessions, and any hopes or concerns you may have. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and we will go at your pace - you don't need perfect words. This first session is about beginning to build a trusting, safe space where you can feel heard and supported.
