About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Malina, a South Asian therapist with a deep understanding of the cultural, familial and societal pressures that often shape the South Asian experience. I offer a space that honours your identity, story and voice.
My approach to therapy is integrative, person-centred and relational, meaning I tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs, lived experiences, and pace. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, where we aim to create a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and make sense of areas in your life that feel challenging. Whether you feel overwhelmed or anxious, are navigating a transition or just need someone to talk to, I’m here to walk alongside you.
Practice description
As a South Asian woman, I understand the complexities that can come with our identity from intergenerational pressure, relational trauma, cultural expectations, and the delicate balance between tradition and individuality.
For many of my clients, working with a therapist who shares similar cultural roots allows them to feel seen without having to explain themselves.
