I offer counselling at a time suitable to you. This can be flexible and tailor-made to your needs.
Sessions can be in-person, remote via video call or walk-and-talk therapy in nature. Sessions can be alternated, keeping your needs in mind.
Sessions are usually ongoing weekly meetings which are client-led; frequency can be changed to cater to your availability and needs.
In order to attain clarity and goal direction, I provide focused therapy that builds upon therapeutic alliance and in-depth introspection and exploration of ideas and experiences.
About me and my therapy practice
“Do you feel emotionally exhausted in relationships?”
“Are you stuck in the same arguments?”
“Do you struggle to express how you really feel?”
"Do you withdraw when you are not heard?"
I can help you explore these types of questions for a better understanding of what's going on under the surface. Reflection and awareness can help you change your unhelpful behaviours and thoughts to acceptable and authentic ways of being.
You might feel stuck, finding it difficult to move on, not knowing what's holding you back. I can give you the support and space to pause and reflect on your thoughts and explore the stuckness.
I offer a calm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can talk openly at your own pace.
My approach is collaborative and client-centred—I will support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences and in finding ways forward that feel right for you. I use humanistic principles, which are integrative in nature, incorporating person-centred, psychodynamic, systemic, and Gestalt concepts.
I am a BACP, NCPS, and BPS registered and qualified couples and individual counsellor. My qualifications include a BA and MSc degree in psychology, a diploma in Gestalt therapy, and an advanced certificate in systemic counselling with families and couples, with 1300+ hours of counselling experience.
I am of Indian heritage, finding my way in a different culture from my family of origin and bringing with me the lived experience of complexities and cultural expectations that feel alien yet familiar. I understand the internal push and pull that might go on internally.
I acknowledge the impact of intergenerational trauma.
I recognise how cultural expectations and childhood wounds can manifest as maladaptations in adulthood.
I am aware that mental and/or emotional strain can lead to suppression of our needs, lowering of self-worth, and confusion of self-identity.
Together we can explore and create conditions that can help you thrive and not just survive.
Practice description
Clients come to me when they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or confused by their emotions, relationships, family dynamics, cultural expectations, identity crisis or challenging patterns.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, understand what’s going on beneath the surface, and begin to make different choices. Rather than focusing only on problems or labels, I work with the whole person—your thoughts, feelings, relationships, body, history, culture and hopes for the future.
Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, struggling in relationships, or simply wanting space to reflect and grow—I’m here to walk alongside you.
My first session
When you are ready, the first step is an initial 50-minute consultation at a discounted rate of £50.
In this meeting, I will invite you to discuss what brings you to counselling, what you hope to achieve from therapy, and whether we are a good fit to work together.
It's an opportunity for you to ask me questions and express any expectations you might have around therapy.
We will then meet weekly at the agreed day and time for ongoing counselling.
