About me and my therapy practice
I’m an integrative trauma psychotherapist and fellow human. I support adults who are living with the effects of PTSD, CPTSD, relationship difficulties, grief, and overwhelming emotions such as anxiety or depression.
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck or unsure how to move forward, and my role is to offer a supportive, caring space where you can explore and make sense of these experiences. Over time, this work helps you reconnect with a sense of trust and safety within yourself and within your relationships, allowing you to feel more grounded and centred in the world.
Having navigated my own challenges, I understand the courage it takes to begin healing. My own journey is what led me to become a therapist, and it shapes my commitment to sitting alongside others as they find their way forward. I meet you with presence and empathy, and I encourage you to meet yourself with the same curiosity and compassion.
I believe that, as humans, we have an innate ability to heal. We each have the capacity for change, and with the right tools and support, we can make choices and take actions that help us create a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with who we are.
Practice description
Trauma focused:
As trauma affects both the mind and the body, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to ensure the work fits your individual needs. In our sessions, we look at how early relationships and past experiences have shaped who you are today, and we explore your current thoughts, behaviours, and patterns to understand how they continue to influence your life.
I offer clear, accessible guidance to help you make sense of what is happening emotionally and physically, and I use body-focused techniques alongside practical tools to support regulation and help you feel more balanced and in control.
Trauma recovery happens within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship where you feel understood and accepted. You set the pace and direction of the work, and we move gently and collaboratively so everything remains manageable for you. My role is to stay alongside you, offering grounding, support, and a steady space where you can gradually rebuild a sense of safety within yourself.
Trauma processing:
I specialise in trauma processing and offer Rewind Therapy, an evidence-based technique particularly helpful for symptoms such as:
- Intrusive memories
- Flashbacks
- Nightmares
- Phobias
- Persistent anxiety linked to past events.
Common issues I work with include:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- GAD
- OCD
- BPD
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Domestic violence
- Abuse
- Childhood trauma
- CPTSD
- PTSD
- Self harm
- Suicidal ideation
My first session
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We will go through the counselling agreement, and I will take any essential details, such as emergency contacts. You will also have space to share more about what brings you to therapy.
We may spend some time exploring your personal background, including your family, relationships, significant life experiences, and the challenges you are facing now and how they are affecting you. From there, we can work together to set clear therapy goals that reflect what you want to achieve and how therapy can best support you.
