About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Lucy, an integrative counsellor. I’m really glad you’ve found your way here.
If you’ve arrived on my page feeling a little lost, burnt out, or like you’ve been holding far too much on your own, you deserve support with the weight you’re carrying.
⚘
You might recognise yourself in moments such as:
• Lying awake at night with thoughts that won’t switch off
• Taking on the physical stress of work or family life
• Saying “yes” to things you’d prefer to say “no” to
• Getting caught in familiar, unhelpful relationship patterns
• Feeling unfulfilled, but unsure about where to start
• Struggling with the quiet belief that you're not good enough
If any (or none) of the above resonate with you, know that you don’t have to work through it alone. It’s human to worry about whether your concerns are 'serious’ enough or if you are 'right’ for therapy, though please be assured - your experience is valid and your story is welcome.
Many people come to therapy hoping to:
• Have a space to speak openly and feel heard and understood
• Develop clarity around their feelings and reactions
• Settle a busy mind and a tense body
• Be a little kinder and more accepting towards themselves
• Soften the inner voice that criticises or pushes too hard
• Reduce guilt around establishing healthier boundaries
⚘
This is a non-judgemental and collaborative space. I provide a calm, secure environment where we hold what feels difficult, giving full space for you to simply be with your emotions and honour the experience as it is. From here, we can gently consider what a steady, authentic way forward looks like, one that feels true to who you are.
Practice description
I’m a BACP qualified integrative counsellor with a Level 6 Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the NHS Inter-Psyche Training Institute (equivalent to degree level). I'm a warm, honest, quietly free-spirited therapist and the founder of Soul Space Counselling.
I’ve worked in both NHS services and private practice, and engage in ongoing supervision and professional development to ensure my work remains ethical, grounded and mindful.
As an integrative therapist, my approach draws from:
• Relational work – using the therapeutic relationship as a safe place to help understand how you connect with others and explore attachment styles
• Person-centred values – offering empathy, acceptance and room to fully be yourself
• Existential thinking - making space for big questions of meaning, purpose, and living in harmony with your core self
• Psychodynamic insight – uncovering deeper patterns and past experiences that shape how you feel today
• Cognitive approaches – noticing thoughts that impact mood, confidence and day-to-day stress
In our work together, I offer gentle curiosity and thoughtful challenge when something important needs attention. I support you in reconnecting with the experiences and emotions that haven’t had space, always aiming to strengthen your inner resources and empower you to trust your own direction.
⚘
I have experience in many areas which include:
• Identity and self-worth
• Anxiety and depression
• Unhealthy relationship patterns
• People-pleasing and self-silencing
• Health related issues
• Loss and grief
• Work stress and overcommitting
• Self-image, desire and sexuality
• Self-harm and coping mechanisms
Next steps
Whether who you are fits into a neat category or not, your truth is one that deserves care. I work inclusively with people whose identities or experiences sit outside the mainstream, and welcome those who identify as LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse.
If you feel ready to begin, you’re welcome to reach out or book your consultation, I’d be happy to meet you.
⚘

I offer a free 15 - minute phone call so you can ask any questions and share a little about what has brought you here - there’s no pressure or obligation, just a gentle starting point.
The first session is a calm, settling-in space. We’ll consider what brings you here, what you’re hoping for and how we can work together in a way that feels steady, safe and supportive for you.
Once a counselling session is booked, I’ll send a counselling agreement to read and sign electronically, along with a short personal-details form.
Therapy Prices (Payable on booking):
• In-person, Buckhurst Hill - £65 (50 minutes)
• Online - £55 per session (50 minutes)
